THE PIN UP CLUB @ THE FEZ CLUB, SHEFFIELD 19/03/04

The search for somewhere good to go out and party in Sheffield on a Friday night is over. For a few weeks at least (until Urban Gorilla re-launches at Zero on March 26th) the Pin Up Club has been the Friday night hot-spot for Sheffield’s usual medley of up for it hip-housers. The night is nothing exceptionally groundbreaking but it is dumbed down enough for everyone to have oodles of slightly swanky fun. At the moment the night feels a little immature and cliché, but the seeds are being sown for it to really grow into something that little bit more special. The potential of the Pin Up Club is immense and for such a new and small night to be packed already is quite an achievement.

Friday March 26th sees PaSSion’s red room heroes MYNC Project roll into town, but with stiff competition from Urban Gorilla and John Digweed’s Bedrock tour it looks unlikely that it will be a sell-out. The future, however, looks bright for Sheffield’s newest clubbing edition. Along with rumours of a new tech house night set to replace the much missed Remedy, things are at last starting to pick up after the post Gatecrasher/Bed lull.

Watch this space for future news on the Pin Up Club.
