![]() SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY It’s a familiar story. You get in at 4 a.m. and life becomes a downhill spiral, transcending into what we know as Sunday. Sundays tend to be a time for life to come crashing down around you, but fear not. Take our handy guide to Sunday survival and wave goodbye to misery and paranoia. A time for reflection Use your time wisely. If sleep isn’t an option, take time out to reflect about the good things in your life. If your life hasn’t got any good things in it, then think of the good things your life has the potential to have. Keep happy, productive thoughts flowing through your brain and your day will be rosy. Watch a film Sunday television ranges from the mundane to the manic. Best watch a video. Nothing that requires too much thought, mind you. Something simple, calm and inspiring. Excellent comedown movies include Forrest Gump, Human Traffic and Monsters Inc. Ones to avoid would be films like Pi, Mulholland Drive and Cube. Set the scene The soundtrack you choose for your day will have a big impact on how you feel. Flowing, beautiful, emotional music is what is needed. Something to drift away with. You generally can’t go wrong with Placebo’s Without You I’m Nothing, The KLF’s The White Room and DJ Shadows Entroducing. Avoid anything that would normally inspire you to get up and dance. You’re mind and body need to rest. Spoil yourself When you’re at your most low you’re going to need a few luxuries. A few cans of lager, crisps and herbal cigarettes should bring you enough comfort to warm your heart. If you can manage it, a good roast chicken should help you prepare for the week ahead. Try making a smoothie out of bananas, milk and honey. It’ll taste good and help restore any deficiencies you body may have accumulated. Love your friends What truly makes Sundays good are when you and your friends can just spend the day lounging around together, ideally in the sun, talking of last nights exploits or any random banter you can come up with. Avoid politics, work and relationships and indulge in cartoons and kittens. Home > Features > ^top ![]() |
