Whispers
A thick desire to escape this place, this strain.
It eats at you, growing from a lingering whisper to a raging horns call.
The tears sting your eyes, supressed only by sheer will power.
A moan escapes your clenched lips....
My hands wrap slowly about your still warm flesh,
pressing, clenching, halting the life at your tongues tip.
I feel my every nerve fire into my hold on your precious flesh,
your skin begins to blotch around my hands tightening hold.
Dimming eyes stare back at me, your head falls limp in my hands.
Slowly your warmth leaves you, slowly your hearts beat winds to a leering silence.
setting you down i turn to go, a whisper follows me, haunts me.
The last breath that escaped your lips, your death exhale.
And it plagues my dreams ever since...
ever since i said, "goodbye.."
