Heat Wave
No Escape
Another day,
Like the others.
A strange heat saps our strength,
And refreshing dips in the liquid soothes the soul.
Heals the heated body,
And refreshes the face.
Indoors yields no protection,
No escape form the essence.
It weaves it's way inside,
Into every nook, cranny and corner.
Thick like cream,
Hot as fire.
Little relief is found,
Hiding outside in the breeze.
For the sun must come down,
And we must return,
Yet it still remains.
