Under her wing I flew
And suddenly she was gone
Tempest lost, I fell like dew
My crisp mourning song

"Stop", I gasped, "Let me be still…"
My comfortable peace interrupted
My closest friend's image, now shrill
By mysterious hands disrupted

I see her now, a fraction as before
A passion lost, I dare not speak
My heart is with her, vocal no more
But to actions, said words are weak

So now I attempt to flow alongside
My unused wings already sore
I endlessly gaze at her with pride
My pillar of strength evermore
