John Rodrigues was born in Calcutta in 1927, was in the school orchestra in St. Joseph's Bangalore and did his MA Econ. at Layola College, Madras. John represented the Madras State in Field Hockey. He worked for B & C Mills, Madras and Binny's Mills, Bangalore. John emigrated to Canada in 1966. John's great love for the piano is well known and is evident from the CD's he has made. John passed away on February 16th 2003 and is dearly missed by his wife, family and numerous friends
