Parker stormed into her father's office. She had a lot of trouble getting into his office so there was something very big going down. When she walked into the office, with her long coat following her in a wave, her father was smiling at her. She was really starting to get scared now. He never smiles unless he's up to something. "What do you want Daddy?" She demanded angrily. "You dragged me all the way up here and if you don't have a GOOD reason, I'm just going to leave."
"No, no, don't get like that Honey. I have something to show you." Mr Parker smiled at her warmly. She saw a look in his eyes she didn't like. "But we must wait till Sydney gets up here." Just then Sydney and Lyle walked in. "Speak of the devil."
"Yes very good! Why am I here?" She snarled at him angrily.
"Now Honey, you must be patient. We've got one more person for our little party." Mr Parker walked over to his desk and pressed the button for the intercom. "Send him in."
"Christ! Daddy, it's late. I'm tired and I'm going home!" She snarled and headed for the door just to be greeted by Jarod, with two sweepers flanking him. "I'm in Hell!"
"Do you think you're skirts could get ANY SHORTER?" Jarod smiled rudely at her. She slapped his face hard and split his lip. But he did have a point. The skirt didn't leave much for the imagination and her boots only went up as high as her knee. "I don't know how to take that response." Jarod lifted his cuffed hands and wiped the blood away.
"You can take that any way you fucking like!" She snarled and walked around him.
"But Honey, I thought that you could break him in." Mr Parker called after her. She stopped and came back.
"And why would I want to have anything to do with Wolf Gang Puke?" She snarled as she stalked back to him.
"I was just thinking, since you spent so much time hunting him and you didn't get to bring him in, you could break him in for us." He looked at her kindly.
"They only thing I wanna break into Lab Rat is TWO CLIPS out of my gun!" She snarled at him.
"Now Honey, there's no need to get like that. He's back here now and you can leave." Mr Parker gently touched her shoulder.
"What if I don't wanna leave?" She slapped his hand away angrily.
"Well, I arrange for you to...You don't want to go?" He asked slowly.
"Do I have to spell it out? What is the point of me going when that fuckhead will just ran away again? Now PLEASE tell the use of me going in the first place?" She demanded.
"Point taken. But he won't be going anywhere." He told her gently.
"I hope you won't be putting any money on that!" She walked over and grabbed his throat tightly. The sweepers just stood there, not pulling her off him. "Take a good look! He won't be here long!" She shoved him back roughly. Jarod made a growling noise and lunged at her to attack her but the sweepers just pulled him back. "Feisty, aren't we?" Then she whispered in his ear. "You would like to get you're hands on me, wouldn't you?" And when she stepped away from him, his eyes were smoldering dangerously. "I'm going home, someone else can have the PLEASURE of beating his arse senseless." She ran her finger lightly across his lip teasingly. "You better have that lip seen to." She walked away. He started fighting the sweepers again.
"I'm going to kill you!" He snarled at her.
She turned round and started to laugh. "I don't see how! Keep dreaming." She waved her hand at him and walked out. He continued struggling with the two sweepers long after she had gone.
Sydney took charge. "Take him down to his cell." The two sweepers took Jarod down to a cell with Sydney following to talk to him. He looked like he was about to blow a fuse.
When he was put in his cell he paced around smashed his fists against the walls. He was having a fit. "Why the Hell is she like that?" He snarled still smashing his fists against the wall. Sydney was grateful there were bars separating them.
"You can go." Sydney instructed to the sweepers. They nodded and left. "Jarod, please calm down. She had to be like that because her father was there in the room with her."
"What the fuck was that shit about not wanting to leave? They killed her Mother and Thomas for Christ sake."
"She can do some pretending as well. Don't even think that she wants to stay here. She was only saying what her father wanted to hear." Sydney answered him calmly. Jarod started to calm down.
"Your right." He sat down in the cot.
"But if I was you, I'd expect a few visits by her or her taking up Mr Parker's offer of breaking you in." Sydney said to him. "She'll try and protect you."
"I find that hard to believe." Jarod laughed and laid down staring at the ceiling.
"She will!" Sydney bit back and walked away. Jarod stopped smiling and thought about it. Could Sydney have a point? Would she try and protect him? Jarod shook his head. No, he's already figured her out. She wouldn't do ANYTHING to save his neck. He fell asleep thinking about her. Which isn't anything new, he's ALWAYS thinking about her. 24/7. How close is she to his new lair? How long will it take her to find the new gift in her house? And the main question that is always plaguing him. How is she?

THE NEXT MORNING:
8:10A.M.
Sydney had Jarod in the SIM lab and was running through some things that need to be done. Like checking to make sure while he has been out nothing has changed in his genius or ability to pretend. Everyone knew that wouldn't be the case but Matumbo just wanted to be safe. He was actually better at pretending now that he's been able to open the window of ideas instead of just having set pretends that The Centre have put together.
Parker walked in. This time she was wearing pants and matching coat. All black, even the silk blouse. "Who died?" Jarod asked when he saw her.
"Very funny!" She spat at him and walked over to the desk.
"Anything I can help you with Parker?"
"No, Daddy wants me to supervise the proceedings when dealing with Lab Rat. Christ knows I've got better things to do with my time and to play with Frankenstein." Parker snarled. "I have something else to hunt for." She looked at the papers that were in front of Jarod.
"Like hunting for Thomas' murderer." Jarod said quietly. She pulled him up roughly by the shirt and had her face inches in front of his as she spoke.
"If you so much as mention his name, I'm gonna put a fucking bullet in you're worthless body." She snarled. He knew by the look in her eyes she wasn't playing. He had touched a sensitive area.
"You're father doesn't think I'm worthless." Jarod smiled at her.
"You're worthless to me! You could burn in Hell for all I care! But I have to watch you're sorry hide when Sydney is working with you!" She shoved him back at which he had to grab the table to keep from falling over.
"Ah, Miss Parker?" Broots spoke nervously from the door. He saw the whole thing and he knew that she would kill him.
"What?" She snarled at him angrily. Much worse than what he's used to so he decides to retreat.
"Ah, nothing. It can wait." Broots scuttled away from the door.
"So what was Lab Rat doing before I came?" She snarled at Sydney.
"Just a SIM that Matumbo wanted to test him with." Sydney answered her.
"You mean this one?" Parker picked up a folder and flicked through it.
"Yes."
"You're lying. This would have only taken him 10 minutes and you've been here for an hour and a half. Cut the father/son picnic and get some work done!" Parker snarled and sat down up at the desk to work out some papers that her father said that would be down here on the desk.

SIM LAB:
4:30P.M.
Sydney and Jarod were working on another SIM that Mr Parker gave them. Parker was sitting up at the desk with her feet resting on the desk, watching them when Mr Parker walked in. "I just came to check on your progress."
"We're fine, aren't we Jarod?" She snarled as she got up and walked over to them.
"I've just been talking to Matumbo and when he heard the results he could hardly believe them. He wants work to go as planned."
"Don't you think we should ease into them. 1 to 100 in two days is only going to kill him." Parker told him. Mr Parker put a hand on her shoulder and walked her over to the door.
"Are you getting too involved in this Honey?" He asked her gently.
She slapped his hand away roughly. "Why would I give a shit about him? I'm just thinking of The Centre. What would you do if you prized possession died? How would you explain that to our investors?" Parker snarled at him dangerously. He began to regret asking the question. "If you're mistaking concern for The Centre's profits with concern for Jarod you have A LOT to learn about me! Now go, I have work to do!" She walked away from him.
"Of course, Honey." Mr Parker turned and walked out the door.
Sydney and Jarod were looking strangely at Parker. "What? I couldn't care less about him! I'm concerned for The Centre's profits. When I inherit this place I don't wanna have to clean up the mess that he left behind just because Jarod was worked to death." Parker walked up to Jarod and put her face close to his. "And if you think I just saved your arse because I don't wanna see anything happen to you, YOU have something to learn about me!" Parker stood up straight and walked away.

A WEEK LATER:
2:30P.M.
For the past week the same thing was happening every day. Sydney, Parker and Jarod were getting into a routine. Every morning at 8a.m they would go down to the SIM lab and Jarod would complete SIMS while Parker would sit up at the desk and complete files. They would knock off for a rest at 11a.m. Then start again at 2:30p.m and keep going till 8:30p.m.
Mr Parker hasn't been interfering in her work with Jarod. He was still her business. Mr Parker was just collecting the results to give to Matumbo.
Parker and two sweepers were just coming down to Jarod's cell to get him for the last set of SIMS for the day and he was gone. "Who was the last person to gain access here?" Parker snarled as she pressed the red button that would set off all the alarms for sweepers to get mobile.
"I don't know Miss Parker."
"Well LOOK!" She snarled at him as she searched Jarod's cell. Nothing. Gone.
She came back out and walked to the sweeper. "The last person to gain access were you and Dr Green when you brought Jarod back to his cell."
"Fucking Hell! God knows when the arsehole escaped." Parker ran out with the two sweepers following.

They were in the lobby and there were around 100 sweepers and they were split into two groups. "Take different levels and look for him. Every corner is too be searched!" She ordered the first group. They ran off, all going down different corridors. "You are to search the grounds. Don't leave a single pebble unturned!" The other group ran out the doors and, some turned left and some turned right.
"What do you want us to do Miss Parker?" There were still two sweepers with her. One of them was Sam.
"You're to come with me." Parker walked down the corridor with Sam and the other sweeper following.

PARKER MANOR:
10:30P.M.
The searching today didn't show any signs that Jarod had gone. The surveillance cameras didn't pick anything up and they hadn't been tampered with. Parker had a hunch that he was still in The Centre somewhere, waiting till everyone had gone home to come out of his hiding place.
After having a shower and curling up on the couch and with gentle music playing in the background, Parker was able to relax for the first time that day. She had to admit that it was good to have a rest from the hunt, but still keeping busy with Jarod. But she knew it would be short lived. Holding Jarod in The Centre was like trying to hold a slippery fish in you're fingertips. Impossible. But where could he have been hiding? She searched every inch of the place. Including vents, all SL's, offices. Everywhere! She stopped thinking and listened to the music.
Well it's about time
It's beginning to hurt
Time you made up your mind
Just what is it all worth
All my useless advice
All my hanging around
All your cutting down to size
All my bringing you down
Watch the clock on the wall
Feel the slowing of time
Hear a voice in the hall
Echoing in my mind
All you're stupid ideals
You've got your head in the clouds
You should see how it feels
With your feet on the ground
Here I stand the accused
With your fist in my face
Feeling tired and bruised
With the bitterness taste
All my useless advice
All my hanging around
All your cutting down to size
All my bringing you down
All you're stupid ideals
You've got your head in the clouds
You should see how it feels
With your feet on the ground

MR PARKER'S OFFICE:
9:45A.M.
Mr Parker and Raines were in the office with Parker. She was pissed off. Raines was accusing her of letting Jarod go. "I did all I could to find the arsehole!" She snarled at him.
"But not hard enough. We don't have him. You let him go." Raines wheezed at her.
"You little fuckhead! Why would I do something like that?"
"You getting emotionally involved with him. You loyalties have been compromised."
"If you're accusing my daughter of letting him go deliberately, I think we need to reevaluate your loyalties Mr Raines." Mr Parker growled at him.
Parker pulled out her gun and aimed at Raines' head with a steady hand. "I have had enough!" She snarled at him.
"Now Honey, he didn't mean anything by it." Mr Parker tried to soothe her.
"I don't care if he meant or he didn't. He still said it! I can't take his wheezing, obnoxious tone any longer." Parker flicked off the safety.
"You wouldn't shoot me." Raines said coolly.
Parker cocked the gun and aimed at his again. "Don't count on it! You killed my Mother, so why shouldn't I kill you?"
"You couldn't pull that trigger even if you wanted to."
"Say hello to Satan for me." Parker smiled and pulled the trigger. Half of his head was blown off. "Never under estimate me!" She snarled and walked out of the office like it was any other day.
Mr Parker pushed the button on the intercom. "Get a clean up crew up here now." He directed to the secretary.

PARKER'S OFFICE:
10:10A.M.
Sydney and Lyle just walked in. She was sitting up at her desk, with her feet crossed up on top of the tabletop and papers in her lap. She looked up at them. "You heard."
"Why did you do that? Do you know what Matumbo will do to you?" Sydney exclaimed.
"Does it look like I care? That fuckhead had it coming. He kept pushing and pushing until I'd had enough. I don't care what anyone else thinks, it wasn't their decision." Parker snarled.
"Then who gave you the right to kill him?" Sydney asked her.
She threw the papers on her desk and stood up. "He killed my mother." Lyle made a coughing noise. "Wait you're turn!" He stepped away. "He was rubbing it in my face how he was getting away with murder! I thought you cared about Momma!"
"I do, but you shouldn't have killed Raines. If you waited a little longer..."
"I had waited long enough! What did you want me to do? Wait till he died naturally and then dance on his grave? You are really some piece of work! You think that if you wait long enough justice will be served. Wake up to yourself Sydney! There isn't a higher power that will make everyone suffer who has hurt us! You need to take charge and do it yourself!" She growled at him. Sydney knew she was prepared for this argument and she was ready to throw everything she had against him.
"OK Parker, you win." Sydney walked away from the desk.
"Don't you dare try that on me!"
"Try what?"
"That little guilt trip you do to people. Trying to show them that had done something bad and they were going to burn in Hell if they didn't say sorry." She slung at him like a knife. "I'm already going to burn in Hell so I might as well burn for a GOOD REASON." Sydney walked to the door and out of her office. "What did you want? To come and stand up to Sis with Sydney?"
"No."
"Then what?" She snarled at him, sitting back down in her chair.
"I just wanted to say that I understand why you killed Raines. He killed our Mom. He turned our life into a living Hell. And he took me away from my family." Lyle smiled at her.
"At least someone agrees with me." Parker sat back in her chair, putting her feet up on the desk.
"I'll go. But that's all I wanted to say." Lyle walked to the door.
"Lyle." Parker called after him. He turned and looked at her. "Thank you."
"No problem. I think Sydney should give you a break, but I can understand where he's coming from." Lyle left.
"So do I." Parker said quietly and continued on with her work.

PARKER MANOR:
1:30A.M.
Parker woke up when she heard a strange sound downstairs. She put Tommy's shirt on and took her from under her pillow and started to walk downstairs. The living room was dark but it was well lit by the gentle glow from the fire. She heard a gentle bump in the kitchen. She held her gun in front of her and started to walk towards the kitchen. She turned on the light but nothing seemed different.
She turned the light off and started to walk back into the living room. She stopped behind the couch and watched the fire. She smiled and shook her head. "There's nothing down here." She laughed lightly and started to walk to the stairs.
When she got into her bedroom, she sensed something was wrong. Icy fingers ran down her spine, giving her goosebumps. When she walked over to the bed, two strong arms wrapped around her from behind. One around her waist, holding her arms to her sides, the other covering her mouth. She started to fight but the intruder just tightened their grasp around her. It was getting hard to breathe with the tight arm around her middle. She started to fall limply against the person. They loosened the grip of her waist. "Don't make a sound." They whispered to her. She didn't recognise the voice because he was whispering. She nodded. They moved their hand away from her mouth.
"How'd you get in my house?" She whispered. They didn't answer. "Who are you?"
"You always said I wanted to get my hands on you."
"Jarod!" She growled between clenched teeth. She started to thrash around again, but he just held her tightly. She stilled. "What do you want?"
"I wanted to see you. And I can say now, I am seeing quite a lot of you at the moment." He said rudely. She kicked him hard. "There's no need to get so defensive. You are beautiful."
"Don't try and flatter me. Now get off!" He let her go. She walked away then aimed her gun at his chest.
"You're gun won't work." Jarod smiled at her.
"Why not?" She demanded.
"I took out the firing-pin." He pulled the piece of metal out of his pocket and showed her.
"Bastard!" She snarled and threw the gun on her bed. "What do you want?"
"Something I can never have."
"Put the violins away!" She snarled at him coldly. "Why are you here?"
"I came to see you. I wanted to see you."
"Well I don't want to see you, so get out!"
"I know that you were protecting me from your father."
"And why would I do something like that?" She started to walk to the door but Jarod blocked her way. He could feel her eyes turning his insides to flames.
"Because you didn't want to see anything happen to me. You wanted to buy me some time till I could escape. You know that I didn't belong in there so you protected me." He was playing with fire now.
"You mean nothing to me."
"What happened to the little girl that used to be my friend?"
"She's dead. She died with my Mom in the elevator." She snarled at him.
He needed to try a new approach before she kills him. "Why do you hate me so much?" He stepped closer to her. She stepped away and walked over to the wall.
"I don't know, I just hate your guts!" She snarled like a wild animal in a cage.
Maybe he should've let her leave the room. No, she would've been hard to control in an open space. 'OK, so much for that plan.' He thought to himself. "You look beautiful when you sleep." He tried. 'If I don't get her to calm down soon I'll be dead.'
"I wouldn't know. But how should you?" Her eyes started to burn like fire. "You've been watching me!" She charged at him. She got her hands around his throat but he pulled them off easily and held her against the wall. "Get off me! You son of a b..." He silenced her by kissing her hard on the mouth. She tried to fight and push him away but she couldn't. He wouldn't move.
Her movements became slow when she began to discover what was happening. He was standing here kissing her. He was paying her compliment after compliment and if she weren't so busy getting defensive she would have seen that he wasn't or wouldn't hurt her. She slowly snaked her arms around his neck as she softened the kiss. He put his hands on her hips and pulled her close.
He broke off the kiss and looked at her. "That's all I wanted to do." He said gently.
"Shut up." She purred and kissed him again. Jarod started to walk back towards the bed, bringing her with him. She pulled away from the kiss. "Where were you hiding?" She asked gently.
"In my cell."
"But where..." He put a finger to her lips.
"Don't worry about that." He kicked his boots off. "You don't need to know." He sat down on the bed. She stood in front. He started to undo the buttons of her shirt. He kissed her stomach just above her belly button and worked his way up. She began to purr. He pulled her down on top of him.
"You know I was only teasing."
"I know." Jarod rolled over so that she was on her back and he was on his side. She looked up at him with fiery blue eyes. "I did mean what I said about you been beautiful." He gently stroked her face.
"I know." She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down and kissed him passionately. He put his hands behind her back and rubbed gently from the small of her back to the front of her stomach, feeling soft skin.
"Black suits you." He whispered in her ear then kissed neck. She purred in response. She knew he was referring to the underwear she was wearing.
"There's a lot of things that suit me." She purred and rolled them over so she was on top.
"Will you tell me?" He ran his hands along her face.
"Maybe." When she kissed him it burned like fire.
