Star Trek the Tour is a once in a lifetime experience. I have loved Star Trek for over 20 years. And being able to go to this event with someone you love and who loves Star Trek just as much was so much fun. When you enter the doors you immerse yourself into the Star Trek World. I remember only moments after entering looking at Harry with the biggest smile on my face. This was geek heaven and the great thing about it was he had the same exact smile on his face. When you walk to the section with Picards quarters, Sickbay and the Transporter room and you are walking down the corridors of the Enterprise D its like nothing Ive ever felt before. The only thing I can compare it to is Star Trek the Experience in Las Vegas. I can remember the first time I did the experience I was on a geek high for weeks.. this was the same but more. Sitting on the bridge of the Enterprise D and the Original bridge is just a once in a lifetime event. I was so giddy all weekend, you cant help but be giddy if you are a fan of Star Trek.
You could have done the tour in one day if you wanted to but Harry and I knew that this was something special and wanted to enjoy it for as long as we could. We looked at every detail of the props, costumes and sets. We would have lunch everyday in Ten Forward and watch all the excited people pass by. We got to share the experience with fellow Star Trek loving friends. It was three days of pure excitement and joy. What you have just seen on my website is a small portion of what is offered to you when you take the tour. We took over 1000 photos and three hours of video. But nothing will compare to the three days of memories Harry and I share of one very special event. |
