For the purpose of this chart, "Bambi" is my 1970 2-dr 510. She has an L20B, a Weber DGAV, headers, a Z 5-spd, 215/60 R14 BF-Goodrich tires. Altitudes given are approximate density altitudes at the time of the test(s). HP readings account for drivetrain loss, as well as aerodynamic drag. Times and speeds are (usually) the averages of several runs. STRAIGHT LINE TEST RESULTS: |

Notes: Tests # 1 and 2 were a bit dissappointing. Test # 3 was much better. My tach was not functioning for tests # 1 and 2, thus the low shifting points (sounds like its time to shift before it really is time to shift). Also, my technique may be getting better as I do more tests. Maybe near sea level Bambi will be in the 17 second range, which is where I hoped she was. We'll see soon... |
