'SWF seeks understanding man, for companionship and more.'

It seems like a simple enough ad. Very much like all the others. But this one I knew the story behind.

She's kinda tall, 28 years old and very soft spoken. As a teenager she had it all figured out. Meet Mr. Right, marry Mr. Right, and have Mr. Right's children … live forever in grace and retire rich, healthy and happy. It didn't work out that way. Mr. Right was a series of Mr. Wrongs … very wrong. Either he loved drugs more or it was another women; in one case it was his wife. This left a bitter taste and a new baby girl. He said he was sorry. Then there was Mr. Totally Wrong. He loved drugs, other women and few good men. This left another baby girl, this time without an apology. In all this time … no ring on the finger, the wedding bells remained silent.
28 years old, worn from the physical, mental and emotional abuse. All she ever wanted was peace, love and joy.
She has a heart of gold.

Maybe the ad should have read:
'SWF (with a heart of gold) seeks Mr. Right. Mr. Wrongs need not reply.
