         The Going-Forth of Isis

Hethara 8/October 7
At various times of the year, the god or goddess of a temple would follow a sacred pathway to another temple to 'visit' the diety dwelling there. This particular date is The Going-Forth of Isis. A procession would take an image, usually the most extravagent one of Isis in temple, and would carefully follow a route to another temple. Stops were usually made on the way there, where the Priestesses and Priests would preform divination and a brief public rite. Finally, the procession would arrive at the second temple, and the image of Isis would be placed in an honored location, with a festival held at the second temple as well.
The New Year's Celebration
     Tahuti 1/August 1
This was marked by the rising of the Nile, raised by the tears of Isis.  Gifts were often exchanged, and entertainment was to be found everywhere in Egypt.  There were plays preformed in the temples to honor their gods.
Ploiaphesia- The Festival of Navigation

Parmuti 7/ March 5
The Greco-Roman Festival of the Ploiaphesia, or, Isidis Navigium, was when a boat was dedicated to Isis as Goddess of the Sea and launched to open the season of navigation.
Night Of The Tear Drop of Isis

Epipi 18/ June 14
This is the night that Isis is believed to have wept over the death of Osiris, which begins the flooding of the Nile.  On this night at the Temple of Isis in Philae, the clergy would throw gold coins and other objects of gold into the Nile.
       Eye of the Epagomenal Days

Mesore 30/ July 26
The first days of the birthdays of the gods and goddesses are about to begin, and a feast is held.  Any rite done on this day is thought to have power throughout the coming year.
