The Myths of Isis | ||||||
Isis and the Seven Scorpion Goddesses After Isis had escaped from the prison Set had put Her in, she was escorted by the Seven Scorpion Goddesses. There names are: Tefen and Befen who walked behind Her, Mestet and Mestetef who walked at Her sides and Petet, Thetet ans Matet who walked in front of Her. On one occasion, Isis saw a woman and asked if She could stay in Her house for the night. The woman saw Isis's bedraggled apperance, and told Isis to get away. Well, the Seven Scorpions Goddesses were infuriated at the way the woman acted towards Isis, and stung the woman's baby with their poision, Isis, finding out what had happened took pity on the baby and woman and She saved the baby from death. The woman profusly apologized to Isis and then let Her into her home and shared Her food and rooms with Isis. |
