UPDATED! Nerimenth won a mating flight! See below!
Ger'in's Weyr!

Now that the beautiful brown Nerimenth is fully grown, we have learned how to fly, go
between, and breath fire to fight Thread!

What is this "we" you speak of, my friend? I breathe the fire, you just hand me the fire stone!

"But we learned together. And together, we will fly back to Alabaster!"

You have spoken with such love of this place, my rider. I feel as if I know it already.

"And we have to wait, for Malisah. That will give us time here to learn to be a part of a wing."

Wait! Hurry and wait! If we must wait for her, then I will be off hunting! I am hungry and at least now, I know I shall not just eat and grow like you used to complain I would do!

"Yes, you're as big as you will get and ... I am so proud of you! You're my heart and soul! I wonder if you will fly a queen someday?"

What, and make you a weyrleader? I shall have to think about that!
But wait, there was more to this than met the eye!

Malisah's green Lerinth was indeed growing quickly, and Ger'in had flown brown Nerimenth back to Alabaster to show of (mostly) and to greet folks with a renewed pride. He carried Karyle back to Aden weyr and then stopped back at Talor Cliff, just to see what was going on.

It was while there, just this once, that Nerimenth caught sight of a strong, healthy and deeply green Green... she flew over the weyr bowl with such power! Such grace!

I must see her closer, Nerimenth bespoke, and there was more to his words than just a desire to check on her wings or ask how the weather had been these last few days. It was a strong urge, something electric in the air. Something that Ger'in couldn't ignore.

She says her name is Cylith, and her rider is Nira. She wishes to see me closer too... But she teases me, Ger'in! She says that I cannot possibly catch up with her!

"You'll be needing to drop me off, then," Ger'in said, "I don't want to be up there with you when you're in this sort of frenzy."

Frenzy? Me? I merely wish to look at her!

"That's not what your competition might say," Ger'in said, and mentally indicated the other browns and blues down on the ground, watching them. "If you ask me, she's ready for a Flight. And you know that already."

There was a pause between rider and dragon, mentally. Then,
I shall drop you off. You should watch. You could learn something.

Ger'in laughed, as the dragon descended.
Nerimenth has participated in AND WON Green Cylith's mating flight at Talor Cliff Weyr!
"I knew he could do it," Ger'in whispered mostly to himself, while the big brown reached into the sky and wrapped around Cylith.

Nira glanced at the dark-skinned man and smiled, half woozy with the mating flight's effects. Ger'in escorted her to their little weyr, getting a bit of privacy from the other riders and the onlookers that had gathered for the noisy and boisterous flight.

Later, after much of the hubbub died down outside, and the flight's rider pair began to remember who they were and where they had got to, Ger'in smiled and introduced himself.

"Cylith is a fine green," he said. "Nerimenth certainly seemed entranced by her."

"You don't live here in Talor, do you?" Nira asked, and Ger'in smiled again, his teeth bright against his red skin.

"I do now, for the moment at least. I've already spoken to the right dragons about speaking to my weyrleader about this. It's quite all right. Lord Holder Engell always likes it when Talor supplies Alabaster with dragons. And since Nerim's from here anyway, it seemed appropriate. I will be with you as long as you wish, Nira." He gently kissed the green rider, and they exited into the afternoon sunset.
