Sami and Shiseith's Weyr
Voltith says that he is going to do something wonderful, Sami!

"And what would that be, my sweet?"

He's going to fly a white dragon! He says that he's the only one in the sky fast enough and good enough for her.

"... And why do you bring this up, Shiseith?" Sami said, beginning to get worried, and sitting up from her cot. The weyr was warm though it was mid-winter, such was the South.

Because if he can do it, so can I!

Sami coughed, and then stood. "Shi, you know that the white he's talking about has a female rider. And even though Nora surprised me when she searched me, I'm just not ... not!"

Shiseith put his wedge-shaped face to the weyr's archway.
But Sami, she is pretty! I mean Aenoth, is pretty... The blue dragon turned and paced, nervous for some reason.
"Oh, Shiseith," Sami said, moving into the cooler weyr, and sitting down on the warm straw-covered stone couch. There at Alabaster, the heat going through the couch wasn't lost to the whole weyr. Sami stood again, as Shiseith paced.

But I want to try, Shiseith bespoke. So pained was his plea that Sami had to admit that it might be nice to see him really going for broke in the air. And ... That it might be even nicer to see him out-fly the very dashing and rather daring lightning attracting Voltith.

She giggled, and patted her dragon's side. "We'll go to Talor and sign you up. Are you sure?"

Shiseith bellowed so loudly that other people around the corridor had to run in to see if there was something wrong!
