The hike was great!
I made it to the top. There were 7 in our group and only 3 of us made
it. We lost the others at the 99 switchbacks. We started
out at 4am with our headlamps on and arrived on top at 1:00 pm. Your
description of the hike was great. It was the toughest physical thing
that I have done. The last 2 miles before the top it seemed that we
would hike 100 yards and then be bent over huffing and puffing. The day
was beautiful not to cold up there. As you can see from my pictures I
had shorts on and a thin riding shirt. On the way back down it started
to cloud up and sprinkle a little rain. We stop to put on a jacket, and
pretty much did a power hike back to the trailhead. We arrived back at
7:15 pm. Long Day! There wasn't any snow on the trail, just a little off
to the side in very small areas. Here are a few pictures you can post
them if you want to.
