Even though Singapore is a small island, there is alot of fishing spots which you can go. Here I will try to recommend few fishing spots which are good for fishing and commercial fishing grounds too. But some of the fishing spots are held secretly by fisherman even I did not know. Because more people come to fish at that site, the few fishes it will be. That why, some people held this fishing spots very secretive. Here are a collection of stories from various sources.
- Like what I had expected, groupers are everywhere at Bedok Jetty.
One guy at the end of jetty caught at least 5 groupers above 0.5kg using live prawns, one guy at the mid section using live tamban got the largest grouper of the day, above 1 kg. Myself only got 3 pathetic sized groupers to bring home,while given away/release the other smaller sized catch.
- Even a young kid (with family) at mid-section caught at least 3 groupers (>100g) in just 1 hour.
- Other observed catches include one big one small Chao-Xi at lower section, countless of brown eels, countless of ku-ku, countless of Tamban (late afternoon only)/Assam (whole day long).
- A bunch of young kids trying their luck with illegal net-casting.
A bunch of novice. Don't even know how to cast properly, luckily they did not pollute the jetty with any sangkut nets.
- Recommed fishing at bedok jetty in dawn or just after dusk, Caught some fish that cannot be catch in the day there like batfishes or large mangrove jacks good spot for Barracuda saw someone catch one in the morning'bout 4AM on monday the 19th Octber.

- bridge across to sentosa provide excellent fishing for big KBL , Snapper , Grouper
- Go to Kampong Nordin but go further up the beach near the mangroves and use live prawns
- Nordin Beach. Early morning. Caught good size Kim Bak. Beach cast.
- Tarpon. Use small poppers
- Good for catching Crabs
Jurong Island has been closed to Outsiders. Fishing is not allow there anymore.
- Total of 2 fish for 6hrs fishing. 500gm grouper and 720gm finger snapper. I am fishing near Teijin and Exxon the bridge there.

Take MRT to Harbour Front Station. Cross the road towards the Food Court (Use the overhead brige). Harbour Front Interchange is just behind the Food Court. Take SBS Bus 408 from HarbourFront Interchange
- Sat mid day .Went fishing at the small pond at Yishun Pond. Fished for 3hrs. Managed to catch 3 ang chor kee, 1 red emperor, 1 seabass and 1 pek tiam. Lost 4 bites - not hook up properly
Take SBS Bus 969 to Yishun .Then ask ppl at BLK 406 and they will tell you it is in the forest.Follow the path to reach there.
