David Arquette and Scott Caan were filming in the liquor market down the street from my house. My friend Nadia and I had been walking around town and stuff when we saw all the cameras and lights and we sat down and tried to see what stars were there. Well finally I got up the courage to go over and ask a setworker what movie they were filming and who was in it, she said "Ready To Rumble and David Arquette and Scott Caan are in it. Would you like to meet them?" We were totally freaking out! I was like "Heck yeah I want to meet them!!" David was really a great guy! Real down-to-earth, but I'll never forget what he was wearing....shorts over sweats and a t-shirt over a long sleeve shirt. hehe. He's just really a nice person, the nicest celeb I've ever met!! =)
I met David about 3 or 4 years ago. Here in Ga, we have a concert every year called 'Big Day Out' and that particular year, David and his band Ear2000 were playing on a side stage. I was so thrilled!!! David was playing in good company, The Urge, Cowboy Mouth, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Fuel and many others were playing.

After the band played (and it's an awesome show to see), David went behind the stage. A lot of girls stood around waiting to see if he was going to come back out and started to chant his name. While we were waiting and talking, David came out from around the stage. He started to yell and was like 'Hey you guys!! What's up?' All of a sudden it ws like being in a sea of girls waiting to see a boy band or something. These girls were going crazy and I didn't blame them, especially when David took his shirt off and was going to give it away to one lucky girl.

It was the same shirt he had just performed in and it was hot outside so it was covered in sweat. He made us pick numbers between 1 and 100. Whoever was closest got his shirt right off his back. Unfortunately, it wasn't me. I was so very dissapointed, but as the girls began to dispearse, I hung around maybe to get an autograph or something.
David was standing on the other side of the stage, when I walked over and told him how I wish I could have won his shirt. I began to tell him how I've liked him for years and such. He said he'd be glad to autograph something of mine, but I didn't have anything to write with. He said to give him a sec and he'd be right back. I thought he was going to get another shirt to give me or something, but imagine my surprise when he came back and jumped the security fence and said 'Let's go for a walk.'

I was in heaven! It had rained earlier and so there was mud in various places, but he didn't care, he was barefoot and was walking around in the mud with me (I happened to be barefoot also). We walked around talking like old friends which really surprised me to see how laid back, comfortable, and open he was. He was just how I had always expected him to be. We walked around for a while and sat in the stands when  one of the guys from the band walked up and said they had to go. David turned to me and said that he had to go and told me what a cool person I was. He then gave me a bracelet he had been wearing and told me it was mine. It was leather and said SUBMISSIVE on it. He then gave me a kiss on teh cheek and said goodbye.

I thought I was going to die. Later, I found my friends and told them what happened. They didn't believe me and told me the bracelet was probably something some girl gave him and he didn't want it. I started to believe them until we saw the rest of the band. We stopped them and talked to them and they said David had to leave he had to fly to another state, but they ere going to hand around. They saw the bracelet and said 'Did David give you that?' I said yes and they daid that it ws one of his favourite things to wear, I must have made a good impression on him for him to give it to me.

My friends couldn't believe their ears and neither could I. To this very day I still have it and wear it sometimes and think of how wonderful that day was for me. Hopefully, I'll see him again one day and he'll remember me and maybe we'll get to hand out again.
Here are the stories of when I was lucky enough to meet David.
Both times it occured at a VSDA (Video Software Deale's Association) convention in Las Vegas, where I live. At these conventions, celebrities often come to promote there videos that are coming out. They do meet-and-greets, sitting at a table while people line up to meet them, get their autograph, and take photos with them. It's really fun!

The first I ever went to was in the summer of 1998. I was really excited to see that David was going to be there to promote the release of 'Johns' on video, because I have always liked him. My friend Jenn and I weren't sure what to expect, because whenever we had seen him on TV, he was really spastic. When he came out though, we could tell that he was anything but! He was extremely sweet and almost seemed sorta shy! When it was my turn to meet him, I told him how much I loved him in the 'Scream' movies and that I also really liked him in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', which I think made him a little embarrased! He signed my picture: "Ashley - thanks" and his trademark peace sign, heart, and smiley face before his name. Then Jenn took my camera and David got up and walked around the table so that he could stand up next to me for a picture. It was really exciting!
The next time I went was the summer of 2000. My sister and I went the first day of the convention and were so thrilled to see that David was appearing again - this time to promote 'Ready to Rumble'. I guess David was the Master of Ceremonies and cut the ribbon to begin the convention, but somehow we missed that! We got in line to meet him. Frankie Munitz (from 'Malcom in the Middle') was finishing up at the same place where David was signing. David showed up and he and Frankie talked for awhile while the press took pictures. I was an even bigger fan of David at this time, as 'Never Been Kissed' is now one of my favourite movies. Again, David was super nice and shy. I told him that I had been lucky enough to meet him 2 years ago, which he thought was pretty cool.

I also told him how happy I was that he won the Blockbuster Award and that made him really happy, I could tell he really appreciated it.Of all the celebrities that I have met, David will always be one of my favourites - he is so kind and really humble - you can tell that being a star hasn't gone to his head. He really seemed more like Deputy Dewey than any of the crazy characters he has portrayed. I can't wait until the next convention to see if he shows up again!

Atlantic City, New Jersey.  A new casino opened on the third at midnight.  First one in 13 years.  I turned 21 on Monday so I was already excited to step into my first casino.  As my boyfriend and I, and about 100,000 other people ran down the hallway we heard the words over the loud speaker.  Welcome to the Borgata, the gaming floor is now open.  We made our way to the ATM and we saw camera's everywhere.  We found out David was taking money out of the ATM.  He was there with a girl from some band.  I forget what  band, or who she was.  He was within 3 feet of me.  I didn't want to take a picture of him because well, there were over a dozen camera's in his face already.  You aren't supposed to take pictures of stars in casino's anyway.  He had on a really flashy black suit that had horse shoes and typical lucky charms.  He smiled at us an did an interview.  We saw him a few more times like on the poker floor.  He seems real down to earth.  I never knew how short he was though. He hung around with the cast of the Soprano's.
