What I'm Doing Now

Presently I am teaching 8th grade Social Studies at the American School in Lima Peru. In the past three years I have
been involved in establishing and meeting the following Professional Performance goals:

• To improve student and parent real time communication by accessing information via an internet site.

• To upgrade the original Middle School technology plan. Three areas of focus will include setting standards for student and teacher competencies, reconfiguring the MS tech lab in order to utilize space more efficiently for the tech classes and other teachers wishing to use the lab, and identifying and equipping computers with the necessary software.

• Develop a ‘Middle School Teacher Technology Competency Plan’. This plan will focus on software Middle School teachers need to be competent using. It will also identify in-service training and schedule as to when it will take place.

• ‘Student Technology Competencies’ will be identified for all students in the Middle School. It will also indicate as to what and when the training of software will take place.
