Today had a few tough climbs and water was very scarce until 3:00 P.M., then water seemed to be gushing everywhere. I tracked along with 'Daddy Mention', (an API writer from San Francisco), 'Restless', and 'Bliss'. The two girls are tenting and 'Daddy Mention' and I are in the shelter.

We only saw one other hiker today and that was a day hiker heading south. It's awfully quiet out here.

The temperature was a lot cooler today, I guess around 80 degrees, and tonight feels so cool I'm sitting here with socks on to keep my feet warm.

I'll split from these folks at the end of tomorrow as I need to get more supplies, so it will be a hitch into Stratton after I've hiked 13 1/2 miles. I should get into town around mid-afternoon. I'll probably check into one of the hiker hostels there.

Still haven't seen a moose on the trail.
