I'm camped on a beautiful spot under the pine trees just up from a creek - one little problem - when will these darned Mozzies be gone? Today and tonight were the worst it's been for mosquitoes since I started.

It's Monday now and my goal is to get to Dalton, MA (Massachusetts) by afternoon on Wednesday, so I need to do 28.7 miles by then. So the plan is for 18 miles tomorrow and cruise into Dalton on a 10-mile morning.

I'm going to lash out and have a "zero day" in Dalton so that means two nights in a motel. I must say I'm really looking forward to getting cleaned up and enjoying a relaxing day off in a new town.

An old work friend of mine, Steve Webber, may come out and join me in Dalton for a day if he can arrange his work schedule. Unfortunately, I could only give him three days notice as I had problems getting to a phone.
