I'm still at the Church of the Mountain Hostel in DWG. The leg is still very sore so I expect to be here for days yet.

I caught the shuttle to nearby Stroudsville today and got some groceries, wandered around the mall, and caught a movie - "The Sum of All Fears," based on a Tom Clancy novel. It was just okay - 2 out of 5.

Lots of new hikers arrived at the hostel today and not many left for the trail. I think they all stuck around for the weekly buffet dinner the church congregation puts on for hikers. Around 5:30 P.M. trestle tables were set up and cars started arriving with people loaded with a wonderful variety of food to suit all tastes and dietary needs, plus lot of desserts. The congregation members stayed and ate with us and we enjoyed each other's company.
