Another rest day at DWG. Only three hikers here today and one new hiker, 'Stumpknocker', came in late this afternoon, followed by 'Gizmo', the local ATC Ridgerunner.

'Scamp' and myself took the shuttle to Stroudsville and went to the movies. We saw Tom Cruise in "Minority Report." It was a future-based Sci-Fi movie with lots of action. 'Downunda's' rating: 4 out of 5.

A live concert will be held on the church grounds here tonight, so that should be great.

One of the local parishioners has offered to drive me the 45-odd miles I need to go to get back on the trail at Culver's Gap. I plan to go in the morning and head for the first shelter, which is 10 miles out.
