This document provides information you may find useful in running
Grey Button Applet.


HOW TO USE THIS DOCUMENT
========================

To view gbutton.txt on screen in Notepad, maximize the Notepad 
window.

To print gbutton.txt, open it in Notepad or another word processor, 
then use the Print command on the File menu.


DESCRIPTION
=========== 
  
Grey Button Applet is a freeware Java(tm) applet that displays
an image file. When clicked on, the image reacts like a button.
The image will turn grey then the applet will take you to a 
specified URL. Customizable features include changing the: image 
file and link URL.

  
HTML CODING
===========
  
Place the following code in your HTML file to use this applet:
  






  
Note: If no parameters are entered for descriptions, then default 
values will be given. These are shown in the HTML code above. 
The image file should be placed in the same directory as the 
html document that contains the applet. Please change the height 
and width of the applet to suit your image.

  
PARAMETER DESCRIPTION
=====================
  
Values for parameters can be changed to customize the applet. 
Following is a list of parameter names and what they do:
  
image	     -	name of the image for the button
url          - 	url of the linking site 


USING APPLET ON YOUR OWN SITE
=============================
  
To use Grey Button Applet on your own site you must first
create a html document which references the applet. This code
can be found in this readme under the "HTML CODING" title.
The html document and the applet class file should then be 
uploaded in "ASCII" and "BINARY" modes respectively. A link
back to my site would be much appreciated.
