This document provides information you may find useful in running
Size Finder Applet.
HOW TO USE THIS DOCUMENT
========================
To view sfinder.txt on screen in Notepad, maximize the Notepad
window.
To print sfinder.txt, open it in Notepad or another word processor,
then use the Print command on the File menu.
DESCRIPTION
===========
Size Finder Applet is a freeware Java(tm) applet that displays
a gif or jpg file and its dimensions on the screen. This applet
may be useful for finding the height and width of an image for
use in a html document. Make sure you enter the name of the
image file exactly as the applet is case sensitive. Text in
the "URL" textfield should be in the same format as the default,
ending in a backslash. The image file name should be placed in
the "Image" textfield. Due to security restrictions in Java,
the image file must be on the same server as the applet. For some
browsers the file must be in the same directory or subdirectory.
To test an image in another directory, try copying it into the
same directory as the applet before trying again.
HTML CODING
===========
Place the following code in your HTML file to use this applet:
USING APPLET ON YOUR OWN SITE
=============================
To use Size Finder Applet on your own site you must first
create a html document which references the applet. This code
can be found in this readme under the "HTML CODING" title.
The html document and the applet class file should then be
uploaded in "ASCII" and "BINARY" modes respectively. A link
back to my site would be much appreciated.
