We "purchased" Molly (whose name was "Sophie") from the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin on May 8, 1999. Her favorite food is Purina Mainstay. She doesn't get that many, but her favorite snacks are pig ears, rawhides or "flatties" as my sister calls some of the strips, and peanut butter bones. (David's favorites, as well).
She is quite content and happy, and easily makes us laugh at some of her "herding" behavior. (Molly is a Border Collie/Mix, with the emphasis on "border-line" we believe!) She has settled down immensely since we have had her as part of our family, although she is still fascinated by our black cat, Velvet.
David still likes the cats, but he really LOVES his dog. Lisa loves her cats, but has also fallen hard for Molly (we think it might be mutual....). Aja actually adores Molly, and now drinks water ONLY from the dog's bowl. Velvet tends to shy away for the most part, but that situation has improved recently. We think Velvet finally realized she would have to spend her life either on top of or underneath the reclining loveseat, and remain apart from things, if she didn't adjust. Unless Molly lunges or otherwise gets too frantic in her "love" for Velvet, they are getting along just fine.
For David, Lisa and Molly, NOTHIN'S better than being at HOME
