While the facts regarding Mr. Greenspan may never be presented on TV, that doesn’t mean that my story isn’t affecting current financial events. That’s because, in this age of the Internet, I’ve been able to tell that story myself.
I have some journalistic training and try to maintain professional journalistic standards in what I write.
Accuracy always makes for effective journalism, whether a story is published in the
New York Times or in a lesser publication such as this.
When I go back over the material, I often wish I had the services of an editor. Nevertheless, my small-scale journalism has sometimes had dramatically large-scale results.

Trying to Identify Those Exploiting Me
I received a letter dated January 25, 2006 from
Eileen Palmer, Consumer Mediation Supervisor for the Indiana Attorney General.
She said, “. . .  you may want to file a complaint against the building management.”
I was happy to receive her letter. It was indeed possible that someone who worked for my building's management company, (
Kingsley Properties,) could have received payment from someone else for allowing the necessary electronics to be installed in my unit.
The problem was that I didn’t know that as a fact. Perhaps the electronics had been installed without the permission or knowledge of anyone who worked for Kingsley.
On reviewing and reflecting on the facts, I find that: (1) I seem to be in an antagonistic relation with NBC/
General Electric which has very sophisticated electronic and scientific capability. (2) Michael McCormick is a likeable enough person, at least in my experience, and probably not someone who I should be imagining as the cause of all my problems.
And (3), It seems that what I’m looking for is a central entity that's buying me at wholesale (i.e., for nothing) and then selling me at retail, to different parties.
Some of what's been done to me is not only criminal, but quite mean-spirited. Under that heading comes trying to make me have nightmares that involves cutting of my flesh with razor baldes, and trying to manipulate my thinking so as get me to commit a crime. That sort of content made me think that I was in the hands of someone who was definitely the criminal type--perhaps a latter-day Tony Sophrano, who preferred non-violent to violent crime and who knew how to manipulate the system. Perhaps we could call him "Tony Schizoprano." For more about how I imagine Mr. "Tony Schizoprano," see "Paranoid Schizophrenia, the Musical" on Screen A of my home page.
Another reason for imagining Mr Tony Schizoprano is that a constant theme in the harassment I've been subjected to has been a dialogue between a female voice and someone else who the female voice addresses as "Father."
I was baptized as a Catholic and went to a Catholic grade school. Although I'm not completely hostile to Catholicism, my experience in circa 1970-2008 was that the Catholic Church in the United States had a considerable corruption problem. (That seemed true also of the Episcopalian, Presbyterian, and Methodist denominations.)
My perception in 2008 was that too many Catholic priests weren't taking celibacy seriously enough. I knew of a homosexual who was an active priest in another city, and someone in that priest's circle who'd contracted oral cancer. Like many other Americans, an unfaithful priest may imagine that oral sex is harmless, but the fact is that oral sex can increase the risk of oral cancer. See "oral sex" in the subject index of Screen B of my home page. The unfaithful priest seems a sad figure indeed. The Cold War took a considerable long-range toll on the Catholic Church worldwise--so it seems--and I'm one of those who hopes for it to recover more fully in the future.
While I can't claim to have led an exemplary life on a sexual or moral basis when young, I can perhaps cite a social atmosphere which encouraged be to act badly.
After about the age of 35, I became disenchanted with the pursuit of sexual gratification and quite interested in the question of how to be celibate. After I broke ranks with popular mores' on that particular subject, the social atmosphere in the US continued to become more and more liberal with regard to sex. That was despite a horrific AIDS epidemic in the '80s and '90s. I identify myself as a "Christian Deist" at the time of this writing. If that seems too affectedly proper in light of the misdeeds of my youth, at least I can say that I'm someone who's tried to learn from my mistakes and follow a better path.
Now, putting this all together a reasonably clear picture began to take shape in my mind. In my adult life I've never had much money and that might make me seem contemptible in the minds of many who are more money-oriented. I've also been told that people think of me as being too serious. Police are often Catholic and they might think of me as being too serious, too individualistic, etc. A Tony Soprano or Tony Schizoprano sort of person, who might have gone to Catholic school with future police--men and women--would be likely to look down on anyone who lacked material possessions. Perhaps some police might be inclined to share Tony Soprano's/Schizophrano's opinion
So, since no bloodshed was involved in my situation, eveyone was happy and having fun--except me.
However given the length of time that all this went on, it can't really be described as a harmless practical joke. According to Pat Carlini, victim other than me were involved, and, if I may say so, many of those victims may have lacked the ability I had to analyze what I was experiencing. It's not that I'm claiming to smarter than average, but sometimes people may be in a vulnerable state for some reason or another. They may be tired or distraught, at a given juncture, and lack the energy to think clearly. What, then, has become of the other victims? Have they been driven to an extreme acts? Are they in mental institutions and being cared for now at the public expense? Mr. Tony Schizoprano may not inflict visible wounds, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't hurt people.
With respect to my situation, there's also been some damage to social causes. I've mentioned global warming and social security. I have other work that I'd like to be able to present; although being "too serious" may make me less likeable as a person, that fact also makes it more likely that my work is also serious and can be of benefit to the public. So I still being "too serious" in thinking that some of the consequences of the way I'm being treated may also be serious?
Sing along with old Dave. My refrain is "It's fun to be serious." Just don't be arrogant or imagine that you're perfect or be so serious that seriousness become counter-productive. Other than that I respect people, be they policemen or priests or other occupations, who are reasonably task-oriented. In 2008, as the economy was falling apart, my perception was that econimic problems were being caused by a lack of people who were task-oriented. Such people weren't being quite serious enough.
I also came to the conclusion that a private security firm called
Sonitrol may have been the source of some of my problems.
Sonitrol provided security for the rental office of Kingsley Properties. According to the Sonitrol web site, “Our sophisticated listening equipment has helped us catch nearly 150,000 criminals in the act—something no other security company has been able to do.”
