This trip from Vancouver to Calgary (July of 1995) was my first trip since cycling Africa.
I came here for three reasons: first, I wanted see my "backyard"; second, I wanted to get back on the bike since my knee injury in South Africa; and third, I wanted to visit friends in Kelowna.
The map above (courtesy of yahoo!) outlines my route.When I was at Lake Louise, I decided to cycle up the Icefields Parkway to Jasper National Park. That day trip is outlined in blue.
The weather cooperated for most of the three weeks.
The picture to the left shows my tent off the Trans-Canada Highway.
