    These photos were taken in Kamikura, west of Tokyo. This town is reknowned for its large number of historic temples and for its beach.
     The Buddha on the left is one of the largest in Japan and sits about 3 stories high (you can actually walk in from the back.)
     The picture above was taken in a temple dedicated to the unborn child that died either through miscarriage, stillbirth or abortion (hence the amount of mini-buddhas you see.)
