David M. Zuber is a non-union actor living in New York City. His interests lie in film, television, and theatre. He has a B.A. degree in Drama with honors from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC. David found his passion for the arts in high school when joining the the drama club. There, under the direction of the late Jim Willig Sr., he attained many honors and awards for excellence in acting. As a result of his successes and with the support and undying love of his family, David decided to continue his education and go to college as a major in Drama. He attended The Catholic University of America in Washington DC. There he studied under such artists as: Andre Maliov-Bable (Director/Actor/Creator of the Stanislovski Theatre Studio in Washington DC) Dr. Thomas Donahue (current Head of the CUA Drama Department and respected Designer) Dr. Gary Williams (Former Associate Chair of the CUA Drama Department and respected scholar/author of "Moonlight Revels") Rebecca Rice (Current Associate Artist in care of "The Southwest Project" at Arena Stage in Washington DC). As an artist, David expanded his interests beyond acting to include the realm of technical theatre. He worked as a shop tech., master electrician, light designer, and set designer. He also tested the waters as a director in his four years at CUA. In his final year, he worked as the Asst. Technical Director of the CUA Drama Department and was also the Executive Producer of the student established comedy troupe, Fun With Classics. David graduated with honors from CUA in May of 2000 with a B.A. degree in Drama. With his eyes set on stardom, David moved to New York City in Oct. of 2000 to pursue acting in film and television. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY and continues to perform on stage and screen, as well as continuing to take acting classes. He has studied under: Ron Millkie (Actor/Director/Lecturer at Hofstra University)--Currently Olivia Harris (Casting Director Warner Bro. NYC)--Through AIA In January of 2001 David was cast as the principle character in Edgewater Pictures' feature length comedy "Losers of the Year" . He quickly befriended the team at Edgewater and was asked to join the team as an asst. in lighting, casting, and directing. David recently worked with director/film-maker, Sloan Copeland of Self Conscious Entertainment on the film, Ordinary World which premered in NYC in August 2002. He is currently working with Self-Concious Entertainment once again as an actor, assitant director, and producer on the exciting new film "unREAL." David is not finished with adding to his resume and he hopes to continue his quest to make a living doing what he loves......acting. |
