THE MEETING OF DAVID TOM

I arrived at the Cat. Center at about 12:00pm for DT's 1:30 appearance. There were already some scattered people sitting around the stage area that was set up. At 1:00, I decided the crowds were buliding up enough, that if I wanted to get a good spot to stand I needed to get to that stage. Waiting around was fun...listening to people talk about DT.

Okay-on to the important part: the lady that arranges all these appearances came out and told us that DT was there, and was just getting ready to come out. She said he had gotten on a 10:30pm flight from LA, after a day of working the night before and that he arrived in Toronto at 6:30am...went to his hotel and then at 10:00am he drove to Kingston. So, she explained, he was going on pretty much NO sleep....FOR HIS FIRST EVER CANADIAN APPEARANCE! ....She had to delay time a bit, so she answered a few questions (nothing overly important)...she did mention that DT was a very down to earth, ordinary guy.

FINALLY...(it felt like a LONG time :) some girls began to scream, and out walked this CCCUUUUUTTTEEEEE boy who was wearing a white t-shirt with black cuffs, beige (long) shorts (polo) and white sneakers (and socks)...and THE watch that he wears ALL the time on the show. He had this AMAZING grin...and I couldn't believe how even BETTER he looked in real life :) He had a microphone and they gave him a cup of coffee (to keep him awake :) and he started answering questions right away.

Okay some of the questions he answered: *WHO DID HE SAY HI TO AT THE AWARDS?????????????
*Ashley....BUT not Mac :( .... his EX girl friend ashley....so many of us were right with the name...wrong girl tho' ...
*he said he NO LONGER has a g-friend...(for all you interested girls :)
*he said they tape the show 2-3 weeks in advance
*he said he and mac's future will be 'choppy' (i'm not sure WHAT to think of that *said Ashley (Mac) is a good kisser :) ...they don't need to rehearse (LOL)
*he hangs out with David (Yappy) quite a bit*likes scenes with jess/peter
*likes.......RAVIOLI ( i have NO idea how to spell that)...soccer and basketball..and is just learning to play golf
He told us that next week we would find out about the commerical and what it means for Mac...
he also said Britt and Raul would find out pretty soon.

While he was doing all this, I did notice ALL of his many gestures that he does while acting...the hand wave thing in the air, THE LICKING OF THE LIPS!!!!! ...he had a lot of them. Then they were selling pictures of him, in which you could get it autographed. People got in line for that...and i went around and watched him (for the longest time) just signing and being EVER so cute.

Then it was polariod picture time...I got in line RIGHT away.....when it was my turn, for some ODD reason I wasn't nervous...it was hard to describe, he was SO down to earth, that i felt very calm...excited, but calm. He asked me how I was doing, and I said good...and I mentioned how he must be exhausted...he replied with kinda guilty "yeah"...but with a smile...he then said that it was all fun. He put his arm around me, and kinda had his arm on my shoulder....I walked away, with a HUGE SMILE....kind of floating....hehehe...needless to say, I am GLAD i decided to go...... - Laurla
