Hi Again, All you David Tom Fans:

I'm back....yes, it's me again...no not "poltergeist"....but your friendly roving reporter ready to begin another trek through the CANADIAN WILDERNESS TO LOCATE ONE CAMPSITE BELONGING TO HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS, SWEET BILLY BLUES EYES, A.K.A. DAVID TOM.

May, I suggest positioning yourself comfortably in front of your viewing screen, sit back, relax as you join me on another DAVID TOM WILDERNESS JOURNEY. This personal appearance was much tamer than Toronto. At this time, I wish to complement the young citizens of Peterborough Ontario Canada, who behaved with grace and diplomacy while awaiting the arrival of David Tom to Bootlegger's stored located in the mall.

My husband and I arrived 2 hours prior to appearance, ensuring we had an excellent vantage point for photographs. I met (4) charming, humourous and overly anxious teenage girls who attend Kenner Collegiate in Peterborough. They had been standing on the doorstep of Bootlegger's prior to store opening, so they were really pumped for David's anticipated arrival. These young ladies handled themselves extremely well, consider their raging hormones were on overdrive....like the energizer bunny....they kept going....and going....and going!!! If one thought this was another wrestling match, they came to the wrong place...I couldn't believe how organized everyone was, even before the ropes were positioned, everyone formed a conga line...there were no Security announcements...no jostling for positions....everyone was high on energy and low on rudeness. I was very proud of these young citizens. I was approached by a journalist form the local paper, The Peterborough Examiner who posed questions to me:

Q. How long have you been watching Y&R?
A. Since it's inception March 1973.

Q. How old are you?
A. 47

Q. What do you think of David Tom?
A. DAVID WHO, OH! I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE DAVID LETTERMAN APPEARANCE... just kidding...just kidding....he's cool, professional, very friendly and sincere with his fans.

Q. Have you seen David before and if so where?
A. Belleville Ontario Canada; Centre Point Mall - Toronto; and today here in Peterborough.

Q. Have you met any other Y&R stars?
A. Yes. My husband and I travel throughout Ontario in order to attend personal appearances. Last August 27, 2000, my husband and I travelled to Los Angeles California to attend Breakfast and Luncheon with the stars.

Q. Any other information you care to provide?
A. Yes. I showed the Cast Photo 2000 in which I planned to have autographed by David, also presented my "forum business card."

Suddenly, screams echoed throughout the mall, which indicated DAVID TOM HAD ARRIVED AND WAS MAKING HIS WAY TO THE AUTOGRAPH TABLE. He appeared well rested, his usual happy self. Security controlled the number of entrants at the autograph table. Everything operated in an orderly fashion, every young girl maintaining their nervous composure with blushing red faces, flashbulbs clicking endlessly. Next came the polaroids, all monies paid goes to the Hospital for Sick Children. Suddenly, it was my turn to put my arms around the waist of one SWEET BILLY BLUE EYES....EVEN HAD THE DISTINCT PRIVILEGE OF RESTING MY HEAD ON HIS SHOULDER....OH! TO BE SO YOUNG AGAIN!!! MY HEART SKIPPED A FEW BEATS...THAT'S WHY I HAD TO RUSH AWAY FROM HIS CUDDLE...AT MY AGE IT COULD BE DEADLY...HEE HEE.

Once everyone had received their autographas and polaroids, the time remaining was devoted to Q&A.

Q. Would you ever date a fan?
A. Yes (hesitated) it's a possibility...(NOW PLEASE HOLD YOUR POSITIONS, BEFORE YOU RUN OUT AND PURCHASE A SIZE 10 SHOE, HAVE YOUR BODY PIERCING AND TATOOS REMOVED, SWEET BILLY BLUE EYES IS ALL BOOKED UP...AT LEAST UNTIL HE PASSES PUBERTY)....LOL

Q. What is the name of your band?
A. I did have a band, however, when I signed on with the Y&R my schedule wouldn't permit me the time. However, the band is still together touring right now on the East Coast. The band's name is "6 Inches" (minus 2" now that David has departed)....

Q. Do you have your own personal vehicle to drive around in?
A. Yes, I drive a "4 runner" - black. (NOW BEFORE YOU RUN OUT AND SELL YOUR PERSONAL VEHICLES TO PURCHASE DAVID'S LITTLE BEAUTY...LET'S CONTINUE)

Q. If you could play any other character on Y&R who would it be?
A. I really enjoy playing Billy.

Q. Posed by your roving reporter....How does your mother in real-life feel about her 3 children in show business? Did she ever want to become an actress?
A. With sincerity and love, my mother has always been very strong and protective of her family. She's worked very hard to put myself and siblings through the show business route. My mother drove taxi in order to support her family. My mother has been my strongest supporter, my inspiration, my life. To which everyone applauded.

DAVID TOM is truly a remarkable young man, he demonstrated that throughout all these personal appearances, maintaining a strong conviction to family, his craft and Y&R. He's devoted to his professional craft in every sense....his fans are extremely important to him. So as the sun has set....7 rolls of film later...two very sore feet....several aching muscles...tripod shoulder pain....and all around tremendous joy and elation at meeting DAVID TOM not once but twice during the course of a weekend. I will savour these moments forever.
