We start off seeing Billy and Jack in the Abbott living room and Billy walks past Jack towards the fireplace. He is holding a script, so it is a rehearsal.

He says in a disgusted tone, "I'm glad you did, cause I think the idea sucks. I don't want Mac to be around AT ALL!"

Then it goes to David Tom being interviewed by Elaine Loring.

"I get a lot of fan mail, you know, regarding about what's gonna happen with Mac and Billy. You know, how you guys should be together, yada, yada, yada. How Lauren is no good for me, I, ah, mean Brittany."

Elaine says: "You had to do a short term with someone else playing Mackenzie for a while."

DT: "Yeah, Ashley got sick for a little while. Um, it was alright, I mean, a random thing. I take my hat off to Nicole, the actress that played Mac for a while. She jumped into it right at a very difficult time, a lot of work and emotional stuff. She did a good job."
