Heather - Hello everyone
David - Hello
Heather - We lived here for a while and we're glad to be back. I
guess we're gonna start with the Q&A?
Question asked and Heather repeats it.
Heather - You want to know if we're going to get back together with Ryan, if I'm going to get back
together with Ryan. Um, well, we'll see. You know it's been a long time coming. It's, ah, going on for
years and years and years. Trisha's on her way back to town, so that will be interesting.
Question - Who does your wardrobe? You always look fabulous.
Heather - Ah, thanks. The wardrobe is ah, we have great wardrobe people on the show and ah, you know,
it's a lot of fun picking out the clothes. We don't get to keep them but we can borrow them, which is nice,
it's like so, we have two wardrobes, which is good.
Question - Why did you leave Young and Restless?
Heather - Um, I left for many reasons. Mainly, just to kind of, I just kind
of needed to take a break and
step back a little bit and, um, and it was good. It was a great time to have
a little time off.
Question to David and you couldn't really hear it so David repeats it.
David - Um, Mac might be my sister?! (crowd laughs) Ah, I reallllly hope not!
(crowd laughs louder) Ah,
that's a new one. I hadn't heard that ah, ah, rumor.
Heather - It's been known to happen.
David - I hope it's not going to happen, um.
Heather - No! They had you kissing and everything like that.
David - I don't think so. I don't know the details the writers have in store.
Question - Where is Esther's daughter? Is she going to be brought back around your age?
David - You can answer that one.
Heather - She's been sleeping a lonnnng time. (crowd laughs) She's always upstairs sleeping. Um, she,
um, actually she could be in Switzerland at this very moment, and you know what happens in
Switzerland?! We come back really big. They grow really big over there.Comment - I think they need to pair you with Michael Baldwin, they'd make it very interesting.
Heather - Michael Baldwin? You know what...I think so too. I think Victoria needs new blood. You know
all this recycling of like, the old news, it's it's boring. I need, I need a little spice.
Question - What was your favourite scene?
David - Me? Ah, let's see. One of my favourite scenes, um, um,
Comment from the crowd - On the couch!!
David - (smiles) Ha ha ha ha. That was an INTEResting scene!
Heather - What happened on the couch?
David - Um, what happened on the couch? Um, let's see, um, I um, I don't really have a particular like,
like, specific scene that I, that I enjoyed the most. I love working with, um, everybody on the show. Ah,
Jess Walton, she's great. Ah, Jeannie Cooper's awesome, um, Peter Bergman, ah, David Lago, you know,
Ashley Bashioum they're all great to work with. We always try and make the scene a little different, a little bit more interesting than the last, so we all get along, it's cool.
Question - Heather, my friend is Nancy Setter Deatreio, she's a fung shway master, and I understand she did your house?
Heather - She did, and it's very funny you, ah, mentioned that because I just moved into a new house and
I, um, wanted to have it, um, appraised or whatever they do. But, yeah, she did all kinds of stuff. It wasreally fun.(Camera paused)
David - (seems surprised about the question or comment) Oh, ah, that's another new rumor I haven't heard. Ah, that Victor's my Father?
Heather - Oh that's right. I don't know if they're going to do
that or not. Maybe down the road. You neverknow how they might play that out.
David - Yeah.Heather - That would be interesting.
David - THAT would be interesting. That means me and you would be related then.
Heather - We'd be related then, that would work.
Question - When are they going to find a love interest for you to keep?
Heather - I'm sorry? One more time? For me to keep?
David - Ha ha ha.
Heather - I don't think that's possible. It just doesn't seem to work out that way. Um, ah, a love interest
for me to keep. Well, ah, you know, well see what happens with Ryan. There's a lot of young, young boys
in Genoa City now a days, so maybe Victoria needs to start, you know, making the rounds,(David
laughs)going to the single bars. Hanging out at the coffee house.
David - Coffee house.
Heather - See (she laughs) see who else is out there.
Heather - How come Vicki didn't get pregnant when she had the chance?
I did!
Person - I mean Nikki.
Heather - Oh Nikki. Um, oh, I have no idea. Oh my God! Daddy's little swimmers have been, like, all
(crowd roars) over the place. So I'm so tired of talking about, like my
Father's sperm. It's just wrong.
Wrong, wrong, wrong. I don't, ...She's the only one who hasn't gotten
pregnant by it, so you'd have to ask her.
Question - My question is for David Tom. Hi, hi. I want you to know how much
I love your character,
David - Thank you.
Question cont. - How much I love watching you on the show.
David - Thank you.
Question cont. - I adore you to death. My question is about your romance with
Mac. I love her dearly aswell. Is she gonna run and hide now?
David - Ha ha ha, ha ha, um, things are definitely going to get a little more
choppy I'd say. Ah, it's gonna
be, it's gonna be interesting in the next two weeks. All that will be coming
up within the next two weeks,of the show.
Person - She's a runner. She doesn't stay in one place.
David - No, um, um, not too long, but ah, well see. She's, ah, she's got a couple little things coming up,ah.
Person - You guys got my heart going. I love you both so much.
David - (in a high voice) OH Thank you.
Question - Do you think Victor's going to accept Diane's baby?
Heather - NO!! Oh please! This is like, Oh Please! My little half brother or
half sister grown in a petrie
dish. The science experiment she's calling a child. No. I, I have no idea.
You'll have to wait and see. There's all kinds of interesting stuff coming up. Absolutely lots of twists
and turns yet to come.David - Yup.
Question - How do you two get along, working together. Being brother and sister on the show. Do youfight? Do you get along? Be honest.
Heather - I can't stand him (trying to be funny)
David - (has this weird look on his face) I put up with it.
Person - I see what you say David.David - I deal with it, I deal with it.
Person - How many years difference in age between you two?
David - About 2 1/2 years. Yup.
Person - You're from where around here? Esaquaw area?
David - Yeah, we use to live in Esaquaw, ah, 12 years ago. For about 2 1/2
years as well.
David - Is Billy going to confront Jill for what she did to Mac?
(playfully) Ah, well. Billy's got a couple of
little things he's thinking about right now. Right now he's, ah, he's ,
he's in a lotttt of trouble right now
with the, you know, the whole situation with Mac and Brittany and stuff, so
he's gonna, that's all gonna
blossom very very soon here. Probably within the next two weeks, so, um, it's
gonna, it's gonna get reallyinteresting very quickly.
Question - For David, is Brittney going to be pregnant with JT's baby and say
that it is yours?
David - I gotta set this down for that. (his coffee) {crowd laughs}I only
understood half the question, um.
Heather - Is Brittany going to be pregnant with JT
's baby and then say that
it's yours?
David - oh. I don't know for sure. I wouldn't put it past her. Um, that
hasn't been brought up yet. I
haven't heard any rumors about that, uh, but, ah, you never know what the
writers at Y&R, what they got
going on in their little heads of theirs, so, ah, it could definitely be
possible. I wouldn't put it past Brittany.
Special Guest Cyndi Reinhart takes over as the interviewer or walking around with the mike. Cindy is a
local celeb in Seattle. She does the soaps report for KOMO-TV
Question - I want to know if they're ever going to meet on the show?
Heather - Are we ever going to meet? Well, we had like one scene where I was
in the background but...David - (he laughs) Coffee house.
Heather - Right. Um, I don't know, I mean probably at some point
we'll meet. As of right now, I don't
think the writers, I think they're purposely NOT putting us together.
David - Yeah.
Heather - Because everyone knows we're brother and sister, we look like
brother and sister you know.
Cyndi Reinhart - Maybe they could work it so that it, they really are, you
know what I'm saying?
Heather - You never know, you never know.
Person - We may never know what happens in the poolhouse with you and the
young lady because they keep cramping the show with tennis.
Heather - Oh, they do?
David - They keep what? (David and Heather seem puzzled)
Heather - They pre-empt the show with tennis.
Cyndi Reinhart - Actually the truth is...David - That's not good.
Cyndi - I get so many complaints from that, you have no idea. So, I always
start the show with: calm down, you won't miss an episode
Person - I'd like to say you guys are wonderful, and you're in my house everyday.
Heather - Thanks
David - Thank you.
Question - My question is, do you guys ever do anything for the fans to come
watch a taping of the show?
(David looks at Heather hoping the other would answer it)
David - Um, Do you know that? (asking Heather) I don't know as much about
that.
Heather - Yeah, sometimes they auction off at charity events or what, not,
um, it's a closed set so there's
not really, ah, there's not any tours or anything you can sign up for, but
every now and then we have fans on the set.
Cyndi - I'm usually on it.
Heather - Yeah.
Cyndi - And you're made to be very, very, very quiet.
Heather - YES!
Cyndi - And for Heather Tom, because I love you dearly as well,
Heather - Thanks.
Cyndi - Now, your nemesis is Trisha?
Heather - Ah huh.
Cyndi - Is she going to head out of town please and thank you very much.
Heather - She just headed back into town.
Cyndi - I know, but she needs to go away somewhere.
Heather - Ha ha ha ah. Um, I don't, I don't think she's going anywhere
anytime soon so, you'll have to
keep waiting, ah watching and seeing, ah, bit I think that, ah, there's going
to be a lot of exciting stuffcoming up.
Question - For either one of you. What does a typical day of shooting involve
for you? What time do youstart taping?
David - Ah, well it all depends on where you are on the schedule, shooting
schedule. They take the script,
we shoot a show a day and they take the script and they break it down to what
scenes are where on the
stage, what sets and, ah, we have 2 different stages and each stage has about
anywhere from 4-6 different
sets on them and ah, depending on where you are on the stage, depends on how
long you're actually
working. Ah, some days you get off, ah, some days you're there at 7 in the
morning until 7 at night. Some
days you're there from 7 in the morning until 10 in the morning, ah, you
know. Some days you get there
at 1 O'clock in the afternoon and you're there for an hour or it all really
varies. You never really knowuntil you get the schedule.
Question - David, are you afraid of being around the other actresses that
have been there for a long time?
Are they helpful for you? Do you get nervous very often?
David - Oh, well, Heather's been on the show for, ah, you know, 10 years, 10
years now, ah, so I kind of
grew up with everybody that's been there, you know. I visited the set a lot,
ah,
Person - So you've gone to the set quite a bit then?
David - Yeah I, I, ah, basically when I started on the show, I kind of knew
everybody already, so it made it
really comfortable, really easy to, like, you know, just jump into it.
Someone shouts from the crowd - I'm glad you got both awards. I was praying
for ya both times.
David - Thank you.
Same person - I said you have to win. So I'm happy for ya, and you too
(motioning to Heather)
Question - How hard is it working with all those hot girls by the pool?
David - I'm sorry, what? (it was hard to hear the question at first. It was
repeated for David)
David - Oh, ah, that's, that's horrible! Ah, it's, it's,
it's, it's, it's just horrible. Somebody's gotta do it. It's
a tough job, you know what I'm saying (David laughs) Um, it's
great. It's a lot of fun. Their, their cool.
Cyndi - And do you guys have any down time? Like in your down time, what do
you like to do I mean. I
know you've been there a long time but when you're no on the set, do you
have each, what do you like todo?
Heather - We come here!
Cyndi - You come here, you work.
Heather - We work. Um, we do a lot of different things. I run a theatre
company and that keeps me busy.
Um, I just try to relax, to get out of town, just, kind of, hang out. Chill
out, do whatever everybody elsedoes. That's about it.
David - It's the same thing, um, I got a lot of friends. I got a friend with
me today and, ah, um, yeah. You
know, just kind of take a breather a little bit, ah, and ah, you know, relax.
Kick back, watch a movie, ah,do some reading um, hang out?
Cyndi - Cool. Any other questions?Question - Do you have a girlfriend?
David - Ha ha, no I don't. I'm single.
Cyndi - Is there jealousy on the set (repeating someone's question)
Heather - oh, ah...
Cyndi - You mean in women you meet in real life? Oh I think I know, what
your saying is when you
interacting with them or acting with them, do you really see them as the
character? Remember we talked about that yesterday?
Heather - Oh right. Um, well I, I think David and I both work with the kind
of technique that we try to make it as real as we can and, um, you know,
Cyndi - A good example was when you got in that fight with Gary when you,
when she got mad at Gary.
Tell them what happened. I thought that was interesting.
Heather - Yeah I, me, we, you know, try, I try to make that anger real. I
don't hold back and I, by me
thinking of him as, as you know, ah, who he is, Ricky, I, I, that would bring
me out of the scene so I do
try to think of him as character and, and try to put myself in the situation,
but as soon as they say cut,
that's, that's gone, you know. It's, it's back to reality.
Cyndi - I've got another good one for ya. I saw Sarah Brown in a scene when I
was on the set of GH, and
she was like, really crying. Really really upset and she couldn't interview
with me because she was soupset after the scene.
Heather - Right.
Cyndi - She couldn't regain, do you ever have it where, like it lingers with
you, it takes a while?
Heather - Ah, the only time that ever really happened with me, was when
during the baby stuff, cause
that's kind of, a um, really dark place to go, but um, otherwise not really
no. I tend to leave my work at
work and you know depending on how much preparation you do, itâ's not that
difficult for me to, kind of,
jump out of it again. I don't know about you though.
David - It takes me a minute or two ta, you know, ah, it takes me about 15
minutes to get, ah, especially if
it's a very very emotional scene, ah, ta, ta, there's a little bit of
preparation that has to go on and um, to
get into that kind of mood and to get into that kind of place and for me,
yeah, it takes, you know, 5, you
know, a little bit of time after the scene, just walk, walk away, you know.
Take a deep breath, relax and,
and just, kind of, you know, o.k., it's done, next, you know. Let's go on.
Cyndi - I love to watch when I go to the set, it's so much fun and I don't,
a lot of times, tape this part, but
before a scene, even if it's a serious scene, these guys will be walking
around studying the script, giggling,
making jokes and I'm telling you in one second they'l go Take one or
whatever, and they'll go from this,
yeah, yeah, talking about their dogs to (she shows a serious straight face)
this. Isn't that kind of the way it is?
Heather - Yeah, you know, we try, I try, we try to get the jitters out during
the rehearsal and goofingaround a little bit, you know
David - I tend to, I tend to actually, like, ah, not really, especially if
it's a difficult scene, I kind of tend not
to, like joke around too much before the scene. If it's a normal scene
between like, Raul and I, ah, ya, you
know, we have a lot of fun. We goof off, yeah, ah, while we're doing the
rehearsal and stuff like that. It's more fun for the camera.
Heather - It's more of a fun thing we try to make it fun, try to get all of
our thought processes in order.
That ends the Seattle transcript. I hope you enjoyed it..f like that. It's
more fun for the camera.
Heather - It's more of a fun thing we try to make it fun, try to get= all of
our thought processes in order.
That ends the Seattle transcript. I hope you enjoyed it..
