The following pictures were some of my favorites in the past "Hot Diggety Dawg" photo contests.

This is my opinion only, of course, but I wanted to share them with all dog lovers by keeping them on this web site.  Quality, composition and personality are often what I look for in a photo that I choose.

"Lincoln" the Golden Retriever stole many hearts in February when his photo ran against the winning "Pearl".  Lincoln is a therapy dog and an advocate of rescue.  We wanted to share Lincoln's photo a little bit longer with all of the contest visitors!

"Riley" the Chow Chow submitted by Steve and Cindy.   Riley was my favorite in the May 2002 contest due to the refreshing B/W, the composition, and clarity.  Riley had a lot to do with it, too!

Lighting, composition and expression made this photo above a winner to me in June 2002.  Pictured is Dawn's "Yasko" the long haired German Shepherd Dog.

"Angel" the Newfoundland/Rottweiler Mix.  Expression and composition, along with clarity, made this photo my personal favorite in August 2002.

What a beautiful photo and such an interesting angle of this Dane called "Squirt".   Squirt was a contestant in the September 2002 contest.  Submitted by Stacy Cielenski of Las Vegas, NV - USA. "Brook" the Pointer was captured so beautifully in this softly focused or filtered photo.   Brook was submitted by Melissa Ekis of Pennsylvania, USA in September 2002's contest. "Khaki" the Golden Retriever was submitted by Amy Cummingham from Tennessee, USA.  The lighting, color and composition is this photo were a few of the reasons why this photo was my personal fav in September 2002.

I have many handsome pictures of him when he was young and in his prime and he still had his deep black face mask.  I chose this picture because to me it depicts the autumn of a rich life shining anew in the spring bloom of bluebonnets.  Though Leo's muzzle is now frosted with grey he remains the noble and funny companion I'll always cherish.

"Bailey" the Golden Retriever's photo shows off the beautiful scenery of Ontario, Canada.
Plus, the composition is very pleasing and draws ones eye into the photo.
Submitted by Cheryl Webster of Hallmark Goldens.
Mette Fredriksson's:   "Caxi"
Color, contrast and composition are so appealing in this gorgeous photo of a fine female GSD across the Atlantic from the USA.
