Hand-Building Cross-Browser Compatible Web Sites                    About JavaScript: It is a programming language employed by                    web designers to enable interactivity between the web browser                    user and the web browser! Both pre-written and special application JavaScripts available Below is a listing of some of the pre-written JavaScripts currently available to clients in our JavaScript archive:   • Image/Link Rotater Description: Images with their associated links are rotated through. When a visitor to your site clicks on the image currently displayed, they are sent to the web page or web site represented by the image at the time of their click.   • E-Mail Button Description: You can have E-Mail sent to your box via a convenient button on your web pages with your company name displayed on the button face. (Similar to the one we used on the bottom of this page!)   • Full Page Scroller Description: This handy script will scroll any page you desire. Great for showcasing new items, items for sale or informational web pages of particular interest to visitors on your site!   • Mouse-Over Image Description: This script will cause images to swap when a visitor to your site mouses over an image. When the visitor moves the mouse off of the image it returns to the original image.   • Digital Clocks Description: A variety of different clocks available to appear in different places on your web pages (ie…Title Bar Local Clock, Text Area Local Clock, Status Bar Local Clock, Button Local Clock, UTC [World Time] Clock etc…)   • Browser Re-Direct Description: This script directs the visitor to the appropriate webpage for their browser after counting down! It may be required in some instances to develop different webpages for different browsers.   • Colored Scrollbars Description: A script that will colorize the webpage scrollbars. Script works only in Internet Explorer 5.5! To those using other browsers, the scrollbars will appear in their regular colors.   • Site Bookmark Description: Enables the visitor (Internet Explorer Users Only!) to easily bookmark your website for return visits. Netscape users are prompted to bookmark your site by displaying the sequence of key presses required to bookmark your site.   • Colored Button Description: This one will colorize either the button background, the button text, or both. Script works only in Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape 6. Other browser users see a normal button!   • Stealth URL Description: A script that will conceal the location of the link that it is pointing to. Status bar can be made to display what ever you wish!   • Ticker Tape Box Description: Makes a textbox scroll any sayings that you wish! Perhaps your company slogan, personal credo or any number of other things!   • Check All Boxes Description: This script allows the visitor to select all of the checkboxes displayed in a particular group at the click of a button! Very convenient!   • Pop-Up Windows Description: Various types of windows that pop-up when a certain action is performed by the visitor. (ie… By clicking on a link or button, mousing over an image, image map or link etc…).   • Form Validation Description: Ensures that no field on your form is left empty prior to submission. In the instance of empty fields the visitor is prompted to fill in the areas you have deemed to be absolutely necessary.   • Form Focus Description: Will place the focus of any form (the cursor) in any textbox you desire when the page is initially loaded!   • Checkbox Links Description: A radio button or checkbox that acts like a link and directs the visitor to a certain webpage or website you have pre-determined.   • Link In Title Bar Description: When a visitor mouses over a link, the address that the link is pointing to is displayed on the browsers title bar.   • Text Area Links Description: Room here for your company name and slogan. This script rotates through a series of links (similar to the image rotater above) and directs the visitor to the currently displayed link when the “Go There” button is depressed!   • Rotate Title Bar Description: Places lines of pre-determined text onto the Title Bar! Any number of messages may be displayed in this fashion. Messages continually rotate!   • Button Text Scroll Description: Your scrolling message placed on the face of a clickable button!   • Link Color Flasher Description: This nifty script will rotate through link colors that you pre-define! Script works with text or image links and is a great attention getter.   • HighLight Text Box Description: At the click of one button, a visitor can highlight the contents of a pre-determined text box. Great for those who have information (ie… a stock number or part number) displayed in one form that the visitor is required to copy and paste into another.   • Image Slide Show Description: This script rotates through a set of pre-defined GIF or Jpeg format images!   • Text Slide Show Description: This script place a textbox on your page and continually rotates through a series of pre-defined sayings of your design! Web Forms Developed Forms designed for your website can be sent either via E-Mail or to your server through CGI Script (Common Gateway Interface) and may also be handled by second party “Form Hosting Services”. Credit Card Validation can be done through second party billing (ie…CC Bill, IBill or any number of on-line credit card validation companies). Form design may include all of the folowing elements:   • Text Boxes Description: Generally used to input personal information (ie…Name, Address, E-Mail Address, Phone Number, Credit Card Number, Passwords etc…).   • Text Areas Description: May be employed as a display box containing membership information (visitor membership stipulations prior to sign-up). Can also be used to get information from a visitor (ie…a visitors comments box etc…).   • Pull Down Menus Description: Used as a multiple choice type menu (ie…visitor selects his/her country from a list of countries displayed in a drop down menu). May also be used for website navigational purposes!   • Radio Buttons & Checkboxes Description: Can be used to collect data input by a visitor or to have a visitor check the checkbox or radio button as an agreement to any terms and conditions you set forth (box must be checked in order for visitor to proceed any further into your site)!   • Image Maps Description: Images may be sliced into clickable (link) areas (ie…a map of the USA, an image background with a menu superimposed etc…)!
