Wedding Details

Well, I planned what, in my eyes, was a successful wedding. This was mostly for my own use, to help me keep track of all of my ideas for my wedding. But if it proves useful to give ideas to someone else, then that's cool too. Click here to go my wedding website at Weddingchannel.com.

I'm getting married! June 18, 2005

These are some of the websites and places online that have helped me with planning:
Brides with Brains - a GREAT Yahoo group you can join for ideas and support
Wedding Channel - also a great place for ideas, etiquette, and shopping
Wedding Solutions - has a lot of ideas and articles about planning your wedding
The Knot - similar to Wedding Channel but has some different information

Engagement Photos

Stationery

These are very simple, traditional invitations from Willow Tree Lane. I chose them because they were classic and simple and VERY affordable.

I thought these thank you cards were really cute. Below that are my wedding programs. They are also from Willow Tree Lane.

Ceremony Attire

My dress, from David's Bridal:

These are my shoes, also from David's Bridal.

Bridesmaid dresses, also from David's Bridal:

This is the dress that Lacey will wear, except it will be white. I'm having a lady make it for me. I don't have Emma's dress yet, but I'm going to see if the seamstress can modify this for a baby.

My engagement ring, a Hearts on Fire diamond from Rogers Jewelers:

Flowers

I am getting my flowers from The Bride's Bouquet. I wanted artificial flowers for my bouquets and ceremony flowers because it is going to be easier on me. The florists around here are VERY high because there isn't much competition. I found this place in a bridal magazine and had them send me some samples. They have good deals and do good work.

This is my bouquet: (the picture does NOT do it justice...I was blown away when I got my sample)

I'm copying this bouquet I saw in a magazine.

Here are some of the other flowers for the wedding. I am going to have pew decorations also (not shown). At the reception, I'm going to do my own arrangements with the single stems, and I will sprinkle petals on the tables as well. I'm going to use garland along the edge of the head table, and I'm going to have an archway at the entrance with garland entwined.

Gifts

Bridesmaid gifts: from www.jessicaswedding.com and bath confetti from Wedding Channel. I'm going to put all of the items in a personalized tote for each girl.

Groomsmen gifts: also from www.jessicaswedding.com

I'm getting these to give out as keepsakes to people in my family (and I'm keeping one for me, too). They're also from www.jessicaswedding.com

These are for the flowergirls and ringbearer. The bears are from www.jessicaswedding.com and the totes are from wedding-traditions.com.

Accessories and Extras

My guestbook for the ceremony came from a Hallmark store in Kansas City, MO, but it is also available at weddingchannel.com.

My unity candle and tapers from www.exclusivelyweddings.com

This picture shows an entire set, but I only bought the flowergirl basket and ringbearer pillow. These came from Wilton.

These are my toasting flutes for the reception. They also came from Wilton.

This is my card mailbox for the reception. It came from Wilton.

This is my cake! It's out of the Wilton book from last year I think. I'm going to have her put really pale pink along the edge of each tier, but other than that, I'm not making any changes.

My cake topper from www.exclusivelyweddings.com

These are my napkins for the reception. I'm going to have lavender and the pale pink color with the rose design shown below at the right. I am also going to have pink matchbooks with the same rose design to hand out as a keepsake at the reception. These are from Willow Tree Lane.
