Day Trading Laptop
Is day trading with a laptop better than with a desktop?
Not really. Even though most laptops nowadays come with a video card that allows you to connect an extra monitor on the back, it is kind of awkward to be looking at the laptop screen and at a bigger screen beside it.
If you already have a pretty modern laptop and you don't want to spend extra money on a day trading desktop computer, then at least get a separate monitor and connect it to the appropriate port on the back of the laptop.
An even better option if you are hell bent on a laptop and multiple screens for trading is to get a product like Dual Head2Go or Triple Head2Go from Matrox. The former allows you to connect two extra monitors to your laptop (in addition to the laptop screen and the additional monitor you can connect on the laptop's extra video port). The latter allows you to connect three extra monitors - for a total of 5 (included the laptop display).
Try to get a laptop with as much RAM as possible (greater than 1 GB if possible).
Go to the trading computer section if you need professional help with any of this.
