Danielle celebrated her first birthday with us on the 13th, she turned 8. We had a family party for her on the 11th. Above she is riding her new bike, pink of course. She also got her ears pierced, which she had been looking forward to since meeting us on 1/29. On her birthday John brought cupcakes into school for her class. It was a very exciting few days for her.
She is doing well in school. She just completed her 3rd week. She is very eager to learn. The teacher says she really wants to do want the rest of the class is doing.
Since starting school, Danielle has really come around. She is more affectionate with everyone in the house. She is much easier now. We really don't have any outbursts too often. I give her so much credit. If it were me, living with a strange family, no language, strange school, I'd cry everyday. She is so strong.
