Introducing our new daughter Danielle Bo Aresta. We met Danielle this morning at 11am (10pm for you). It was so overwhelming. We met a very nice couple from upstate NY this morning at breakfast. Thank goodness, because we were feeling very alone. We are the only family in this province from our agency and they really don't speak much english here. They received their daughter this morning also, a 14 month old. They were kind enough to take pictures of us when Danielle came in.
We got to the civil affairs office early, so we were waiting for Danielle to arrive. All of a sudden she walked in. She had her hair up in these beautiful little buns. She was wearing an orange coat. She was and is very happy. She came to us right away. Smart girl. She is very affectionate. She really favors John (Baba). She seems to have wanted a family and has been giving us hugs and kisses.
Now if we only spoke mandarin. She talks to us as if we should understand. We just kind of shrug our shoulders and say OK.
