Goku is the main character of Dragonball Z. He was born on the planet Vegeta. His Saiya-jin name was Kakarotto. Considered a weaker part of the Saiya-jin race, he was sent to Earth to destroy it. When he crashed landed Grandpa Gohan* found him*. Goku was a very bad child until one day when he fell of a high cliff and bumpped his head, which scrambled his programming. After his accident Goku was never considered a menace again. In later years Gohan dies and Goku meets Bulma, Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, Krillin, Tien, ChiChi etc…. And all this is just in the first series Dragonball! Later Goku marries ChiChi and has a son called Gohan. This is the beginning of Dragonball Z. Later he has another son called Goten.

*Do not mistake Grandpa Gohan with Goku’s son, Gohan.

Gohan is the son of Goku. He made his first appearance in very first episode of Dragonball Z. He, like his father, he is a Saiya-jin. At first he didn’t seem like he had any importance, but as episode after episode came it started to show that Gohan would have a great importance. The first time this was shown was when his power level grew greatly after seeing his father being beaten up by Raditz, and broke out of Raditz’s ship and gave him an earth-shaking blow to uncle Raditz stomach. Then again when he beat the crap out of second form Freiza. This was finally shown when Cell beat up Gohan’s friends and killed Android 16. This caused him to turn SSJ level 2 before Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks. Gohan finally killed Cell after Cell had killed Goku. Later Gohan meets a girl named Videl (related to the infamous Mr. Satan [Hercule] ) and eventually married her and had a daughter called Pan.

Vegeta is one of the main characters Dragonball Z/GT. He made his first appearance in DBZ, as the evil Prince of the Saiya-jins. He came to Earth with his partner Nappa to destroy it and the people who killed one of the last surviving Saiya-jins (Raditz). At this point he was under the command of the terrible Freiza. During the battle with the Z fighters Vegeta killed Nappa himself for his “incompetence.” Later would team up with the good guys to defeat Freiza. He went back to earth and eventally had a baby with Bulma, and later married her.
