This is one of my favorite conversations between my two favorite full-blooded Saiya-jins. It's when Goku and Vegeta are inside Needle Mountain hiding from Janemba. 'Nemba just attacked them with a bunch of itsy bitsy ki blasts like needles going through Needle Mountain. Goku managed to dodge them but Vegeta did not do so as easily:
-Goku: "Vegeta! Are you okay?"
-Vegeta (facing the ground): "Even in the afterflie, you're better than me." (a small tear appears in his eye)
-Vegeta con't: "Damn!"
-Goku (kneels down on one knee next to Vegeta's turned back): "It's not that hard to explain. I had a body and trained on Daio-Kai-Oo's world. Since you were just a spirit, it's only natural that I'm stronger."
-Vegeta (at this point, Vegeta turns over with his body still on the ground and faces Goku): "I don't need any of your damned compassion."
-Goku (not bothered by Vegeta's anger and still with compassion in his heart) : "I guess we won't be able to use the Fusion. After all, you are the proud prince of the Saiya-jin."
(shot to Janemba lifting up and deciding the next move, then back at the Saiya-jins)
-Goku: "I understand Vegeta. But let's get out of here. Grab my arm. Vegeta, hurry up! He's not going to wait for us?!"
-Vegeta (turns his face away): "Don't touch me!"
(Vegeta stands up and turns his back on Goku)
-Goku: "Vegeta!"
-Vegeta: "Kakarotto...Kakarotto...Fuse with me. If I've sunk low enough to need your compassion..." (his body cringes in humilation)
-Goku: "Vegeta..." (and looks to the Saiya-jin prince with sympathy)
('Nemba attacks and the conversation ends as Goku grabs Vegeta and the two teleport away)
