Gundam Sandrock is modeled after Gundam Heavyarms. In other words, it goes for power not mobility. Built by the eccentric Instuctor H and piloted by peaceful Quatre, Gundam Sandrock moves like molasses on a cold day. But just like molasses , the all- terrain Sandrock is the main ingredient in some real sweet goodies. Sandrock's main weapons are large Energy Stickles which destroy teir targets on contact. Sandrock also has pistol- like weapons called Vulcans as well as standard machine guns mounted near the neck. Sandrock features a load of armor. The Gundam has an abnormally thck Mobile Suit backed by large shield planted on it's left arm. This gives Quatre time to set up his opponent and use his offensives. The Sandrock was originally self-detonated right before Quatre went in to space. The OZ force took Sandrock in for study, while Quatre's allies the Maganacs, stole it right back and restored the Mobile Suit good as new. Later in the series, like Heavyarms, Gundam Sandrock had to be ajusted for space warfare. The transformation was successful. Quatre uses Sandrock in space as if it were in the desert of Africa, unleashing its Energy Stickles on more then 30 Virgo II in one battle.
