April 28 Arts Consortium
Meeting
Notes: Pam Helton
I Pride
The consortium booth has
been reserved by Jill. We will accomodate other arts related vendors
in the Pride arts tent. David suggested some type of outdoor banner/sign
to direct people to the arts tent. David will make these arrangements,
unless otherwise specified. Pam has contacted 1 in 10 to make sure
that there will be no relay speakers from the main stage. The Actor's
Theater will contribute to the arts stage with a scene from the show "Naked
Boys Singing". The performers will apparently be wearing towels with
shorts, and will not be completely unclothed. All who have concerns
about this, notify Jill or Pam : ).
Jill, Carol, David and Pam
will share the reponsibility of managing the arts stage. Pam J.
has confirmed that she is available to Emcee for the performances.
Small organizations who will be using the Arts Consortium
booth will need to give their
information to Pam or bring it to Pride. Jim has submitted the consortium
ad for the Pride Guide. Pam will ad Stewart Waller (from Emerald
City Productions ?) to the list serve. (Pam needs his
email address).
The members surveyed the site of the arts tent (in the rain). The site was thought to be adequate having a favorable placement. Members agreed that the stage will be placed at the end of the tent, in the position far-est from Pa. Av.
II Market Day, Etc.
DCDD will person the consortium
booth at Market Day. Pam and Pam are working on the flier and will
get copies to Jill. Charles (of DCDD) will work on a long-term brochure
for the consortium which can be distributed at Pride and next year's events.
