Harry Davis offers a different prospective to the story of the 275th Armored Field Artillery Battalion.

While most of the enlisted members of this independent artillery unit were called from many diverse backgrounds and returned after the war to their civilian lives, Harry Davis made the armed services his career. He literally went from driving a team of Percheron draft horses to a mechanized artillery crewmember for the Self-propelled 105MM howitzer

This gives his experiences a professional soldier's prospective with clear descriptions of the "then and now" to give the young reader a clearer visual image and understanding of his experiences.

Harry's  career began as a gun crew member and eventually carried him to the ranks of the guided missile command.

We greatly appreciate Harry sharing his story.
