U.S.S. Woodworth Crewmembers
Subject: 2002 Woodworth Reunion, Annapolis, MD, June 2-5.
Attention all Hands,
First and foremost, we want to thank those who attended the Fourth Reunion of the U.S.S. Woodworth in Las Vegas. We have been busy obtaining information that will help make the next reunion a memorable one. Lodging at the Radisson will cost about $100.00 per day, double occupancy. This includes free parking and a complimentary hospitality room. We are allowed to bring any food or beverages to the hospitality room as long as it stays in the room. We are planning a banquet for Tuesday, June 4th in a private room. The up front costs will be about $100.00 per attendee. This will include the cost of the banquet as well as the hospitality room.
Please drop us a post card or letter as soon as you can in order to give us an idea of how many will or could be coming. No money please. We will be finalizing in a letter around January, 2002. The Baltimore/Annapolis area is a proven vacation land with many things to do and places to visit. The National Convention of The Tin Can Sailors was held this year at Annopolis.
We talked to Admiral Mack on his birthday, and he said he will look forward to attending all of the festivities with us at the Reunion. We have planned a tour and lunch at the Naval Academy, a banquet, and a possible tour of the Washington D.C. area sights. Any of your thoughts or suggestions for making this a memorable reunion will be greatly appreciated.
