Captain Robert A. Harris listed as Captain of company April 18, 1861. Commissioned Lieutenant on 22 April 1861. Appointed Captain by Governor Moore April 22, 1861. Present to June 30, 1861. His horse was shot from under him at 1st Manassas July 21, 1861. On Wheat's death he was promoted Major of the Battalion. After it's disbanding there is no definite mention of his activities although he may have commanded a Battalion of Alabama Infantry, or served with the Provost Marshal around the Mobile, AL area towards the end of the War. He may also been appointed a Captain in the Quartermaster's Department. Surrendered at Citronelle, AL in 1865. Paroled Meridian, MS May 5, 1865. He was a veteran of Walker's 1856 Nicaragua Campaign where he served in the Artillery. A Robert A. Harris, along with a ______ Key and an Alex D. Finley, were charged with running a gambling establishment and cheating a man out of $2,200 in early February 1861.

1st Lieutenant Edward B. Sloan. Listed as 1st Lieutenant April 18, 1861. Enlisted April 25, 1861. Resigned January 1,1 1862 in VA. May have joined Co. C, "Watt's Guards", Thomas's 28th Louisiana Infantry Regiment as Captain. This man was recruiting in New Orleans in early March 1862. May also have joined the 6th Louisiana Infantry Regiment as a private and was killed in action at Sharpsburg, MD September 17, 1862.

2nd Lieutenant William Henry Kennon (also Cannon, Kannon, or Kinman) April 18, 1861. Enlisted April 25, 1861. Appointed to 1st Lieutenant on August 13, 1861. Given a Surgeon's Discharge August 13, 1861. On list of managers of a Grand Military Ball to be held at Camp Carondelet, VA on February 25, 1862 as a Lieutenant. Present to June 30, 1862. Promoted to Captain of Company on July 31, 1862. Joined Mosby's command and fought with them at Chantilly, VA on March 23, 1863. Enlisted by Capt. W.R. Smith on November 1, 1863. Captured on December 29, 1863. Exchanged March 16, 1864. Enlisted in Co. E, 4th Virginia Cavalry Regiment while still serving with 43rd Virginia Cavalry Battalion (Mosby). December 22, 1864 absent on furlough. Surrendered as a member of 4th Virginia Cavalry Regiment at Appomattox, VA and paroled at Richmond, VA on April 20, 1865. "Served before the War with Walker in the Nicaragua Campaign. Known for his extravagant stories and big lies." Well liked by Mosby for these stories. Remembered as "a polished, highly educated, well bred gentleman who was conspicuous around our (Mosby's) command. He was somewhat of an adventurer and free lance, and had served with Walker in his Nicaragua filibustering expedition a few years before the War. He was a delightful man to talk to, or rather listen to, for he was the most picturesque liar, in a harmless way, that I ever new." "He was not in the least coarse in his conversation, but he sometimes indulged in a little well selected profanity. It was refreshing to hear him when he used his full repertoire." Lived in Loudon County, VA in 1895. Known as "Captain Bill." On some Mosby rolls he is listed as George S. Kennon.

2nd Lieutenant John Coyle enlisted at Camp Davis April 25, 1861. On list as 2nd Lieutenant April 28, 1861. On list of officers of Company as Junior 2nd Lieutenant. Appointed 3rd Lieutenant August 30, 1861, as September 30, 1861 on Hikida roll. Appointed by Special Order 188, 2nd Lieutenant on October 24, 1861 and on the rolls as October 31, 1861. Detailed on recruiting service February 1862. On recruiting duty in New Orleans during March 1862. Present to June 1862. Wounded in action at Port Republic, VA June 9, 1862. June 13, 1862 in General Hospital No. 1 at Lynchburg, VA. Received a gunshot wound and contusion at Battle of Port Republic. A John Coyle is listed as Ordinance Officer and another as a member of Co. C, 14th Louisiana Infantry Regiment. "An old Nicaraguan." (Called "Cagle" due to misreading of 1861 letter.)

3rd Lieutenant Edward H. Corkcroft enlisted August or September 13, 1861 and appointed September 13, 1861 as Drillmaster and Junior 2nd Lieutenant. Elected to replace Lt. Coyle. On a list of managers of a Grand Military Ball to be held at Camp Carondelet, VA on February 25, 1862 as a Lieutenant. May 12, 1862 not yet commissioned. Wounded in action at Port Republic, VA June 9, 1862. Present to August 18, 1862.

1st Sergeant L.H. Jennings (maybe Levi or Leonard) enlisted April 25, 1861 as 1st Sergeant. Orderly Sergeant from September 1 to 20, 1861. Transferred to Co. B and reduced to the ranks by order of General Taylor, September 1861. Present to April 1862. May have become Captain of Co. C, 12th Battalion Tennessee Cavalry. A Leonard H. Jennings enlisted into Co. B, 39th Virginia Cavalry Battalion at Orange Court House August 18, 1862 as 4th Corporal. He was promoted to 3rd Corporal in February 1863. He was captured in May 1863. This man may also be the prize fighter "Tom Jennings" mentioned in Henry Handerson of the 9th Louisiana Infantry Regiment reminisences who was killed in action at the Battle of Gaines Mill June 28, 1862.

Sergeant William W. Walker enlisted April 25, 1861 as 2nd Sergeant. Promoted to Orderly Sergeant at a later date. Flesh wound in leg at battle of 1st Manassas 21 July 1861 as 2nd Sergeant. Corporal Morris Buckley enlisted April 25, 1861 as 3rd Corporal. Reduced to private. Captured at Strasburg, VA on June 2, 1862 and exchanged August 5, 1862. Discharged August 15, 1861. A Norris Buckley was a member of the "Crescent Artillery" of Louisiana.

According to the testimony of a guard at Castle Thunder, Richmond, VA, a man by the name of "Samuel Lebrick" who was a member of Wheat's Battalion was whipped for desertion at some time between July 26, 1862 and April 29, 1863. A Samuel Lebrich of the Louisiana Guard Battery was captured at Rappahannock Station on November 7, 1863. He was released after taking the oath of allegiance on March 19, 1864.
