Today was our big day!! Julia and me are going to Canada!! At 7 am Julia, Dietmar and me arrived at the airport in Hamburg. Our very funny trip started there with "it's so good we know that we can't take some sharp objects with us in our hand bagage!!". I had no clue that Julia would say "Yeah I know just my nail set!!" We had luck that Dietmar took that back home. But now Julia know that she can't take that with her in her hand bagage :)
Our first plan went from Hamburg to Frankfurt at 8 am and the next one brought us over the big oceane to Toronto, Canada! Our first impression of Toronto was wired, we had to pass the border control. Julia needed just a visitor visa, but I needed a student visa, so I had to go throught the immigration floor or something like that. That means that a woman tried to seperate us, but we as two real german girls don't get seperat, may be we were just afraid of getting lost!! So thanks me Julia has a "immigration stamp" in her passport! But we had fun with the man at the counter :)
At 9.30 pm we arrived at the Saskatoon airport, we were so tired, thirsty and just be shattered. Our reception committee was super nice, everybody was there. But the first thing at home was, that we had to eat some cake, but we can't, because our stomage was fighting against all these bad plane food.

July 5, 2003

Julia and Bibi are going to Edmonton! We drove 6 hours in the car on a street that was so boring, nothing happened, but we had to go to Edmonton to go shopping!! We both like to shop, so we had of course a graet time there and the mall is like a dream for everybody who likes shopping :) Julia and me spent 4 days in this mall, but not only for shopping, no we had one day at the big water park with lots of slides, that was great!!
The next day we drove from Jenifer and Greg's place to Donna and Kevin's to Red Deer. With Donna we went to the big Calgary Stampede, that was so great, we haven't seen a rodeo before, and so many cowboys and horses :)
than the next day we made a trip throught the Mountains with the car for 14,5 hours. That was so long but fun and the Rockies are beautiful!!

July 16, 2003

Today we went the all the way back to Saskatoon, but this time with Diane. From now Julia had only one week left, because we spent almost two weeks in Alberta. But we enjoyed Saskatoon too, we had a big BBQ, went shopping, baked Chocolate Chip Cookies and lots of time together.

July 24, 2003

Now the big farewell was there! Julia is going back to Germany without me! That was such a bad day, we had a hart time at the airport, we cried like little children. But I don't think we were the only one's who were sad, the whole day was wired at home, because somebody was missing. But the next day in the mornig she phoned to say that everything went perfect on her flight home. I think that was the most exiting time we had in our lives and I think we know each other since that time better than before and I also think that our friendship is much stronger than ever!! I hope she is feeling the same way, right?? :)

July 30 to August 1, 2003

This three days we went all together camping. We had so much fun, we had two tents, a nice beach and lots of goog food. In the evenings we heard the bears and cojots screaming, that was so cool, I have never haerd that before, but all this only after we had rost lots and lots of marchmellows :) And I also saw the aurora, the northern lights, that was so cool!!

That was my big day!! Not everybody had known it, but thia was really my big, big day!! It was to bad that you Julia was not there, but I think Diane did your job very well.I was in the tattoo shop and I got my first and I think it will be my last tattoo!! It hurted a bit but it was worth it, it looks very nice!

That was a long time with lots of free time and nothing than sleeping, reading and just doing noting. Today I went to the west coast to Victoria, BC. It is a very nice city on Vancouver Island, with lots of nice old buildings, a super nice harbor and of course shopping malls.

Today we, Amber, Conor, Apple and I, went to the Wax Museum. It was interesting to see all this people in wax, I have never seen that before and also we had lots of fun together.

This day we went to Miniature World. That's a big exobition with lots if citys but everything is very small, that must be lots of work. After that we went to KFC, that's the best fast food I've ever eaten and we don't have that in Germany!! In the evening we watched mowies "The Lord of the Rings 2" and "How to lose a guy in 10 days"! Yeah we had lots of fun this day!!

We did the rest of the days for sure something, but I don't want to write every little thing, so just the important things. Today at 6 in the morning was my flight back home, that was so early! The farewell at the airport was very hart because I reaaly enjoyed the this with them, specialy with Apple but I know I will see them again sometimes. At noon I arrieved in Saskatoon and it was so cold. We had such a nice, warm weather in Victoria and here it is so cold, so I have to go shopping next week to buy winter cloth!! I really miss the north german weather, in Flensburg it is right now about 20 C!!

Since friday I am back in school, but the last days we had just the orientation week with lots of funny games and all that stuff. today we got our levels, I am in 45.1, that better than I thought. One of my classmates is Raul, he is from Mexico and really nice, but I think his english is way better than mine. But we have so much fun together just making fun about other people :)

October 31 to November 2, 2003

That was a great weekend! We went with our school to Edmonton, Alberta. Friday at 4 pm we started our 6 hours drive. We had so much fun in the bus. At 10 pm we arrived at the hotel in Edmonton and in the first night we had a nice party at the boy's room. We played lots of funny games and Manuel and I had to drink lots of alcohol, I think we lost the game :) After that we went to a bar near our hotel till 4 am! The next day I went shopping with Brenda for 5 hours. We were so dead after that! At 8 pm we went with the whole group to another bar, but it was very boring and we went back to the hotel after one hour. We spent a few hours at the boys' room and at 5 we went to bed. The next day we had to get up at 10 because we had to leave our rooms at 11. We had a few hours left and we went shopping again but we were too tired to run through the mall like yesterday. At 4 we drove back to Saskatoon but everybody was too tired, so almost the whole group slept. At midnight we arrived in Saskatoon and it was damn cold here, minus 20!! I felt so sick after this trip, I had a bad cold and I went to bed and just wanted ti sleep for 24 hours, but at 5 in the night I woke up because I heard a wired noise in my room. I got up and there was something in my garbage. I took my blanket to go upstairs so I could sleep at the couch the rest of the night and than I saw it!! A mouse in my room!! That is so ...!! But I didn't scream :) Jesse tried to catch him the next day, but he must be very clever, because we didn't catch him so I have to sleep again upstairs.

My 20th birthday in Canada!! We had a huge chocolate cake, which Diane made for me. Also I got lots of mail from Germany with lots of original german candy and chocolate :) hmmmm yammmiiii!! And my whole canadian family was at our house and we had so much fun!

December 30 and 04, 2003

Our final exam days!!! Almost everybody had so much panic but for most of them it went pretty well. The next day we had our finall party and after that the *After Party Party* again at Raul's place, very good!!

Today we got our marks!! Everybody was very nervous but for all of my friends went it very good, I got 82 % :) Here is my evaluation form!!

Our huge baking day!! Diane and me spend around 10 hours in the kitchen baking so many different cookies!! During that time Brandi did my hair too and there are so many very funny pictures of that!!

December 14 to 21, 2003

Today Matt and me went to the east coast of Canada. We went to three rivers to his hometown and we spent there 7 unforgetable days. In the first night we had our first snowstorm, so cool. One day we went to Montreal, very big city with lots of crazy people! Another day we went to a bar with all his friends, just like in Germany. Than we went to Quebec City, but it was so cold there, was not so much fun. And we went to a mowie in English, it was very hard to find a theater in english there, but we watched *the Lord of the Ring*, very good mowie!! But the week was too short and on Sunday I went back home without Matt, he stayed in Quebec with his familie for christmas. And I really miss him after the fist 24 hours alone :(

December 24 to 26, 2003

A typical canadian christmas! only with one difference, no presents on the 24th! However, the next days I got a lot of presents :) And, for sur a lot of very good food.

Finally, Matt is back from Quebec! We picked him up at the airport after supper. Even just a few days without each other were so bad. But now we are together again :) From now on we can spent 24 hours together again.

December 29, 2003 to January 2, 2004

Today we drove to Edmonton again, and again to the shopping mall. This time we spend some time in the waterpark too. We spend New Years Eve in Red Deer with Donna and Kevin. It was very nice, but no big party. On the 2nd of January we went back to Saskatoon.

Today, the nice and paeceful days ended. School startes again. I am in level 50 now. Sounds dangerous, and I am serious, it is dangerous. It is just one step before going to university.

My first time of going skiing!! Not bad! We spend the whole weekend in Banff and we had a great time. And I am still alive!! I hope I will go skiing again in Germany :)

Now it's getting serious here. I bought my ticket to go back to Germnay. There are just 5 weeks left till I am going to Quebec with Matt and on May 5th I will be back in Huerup!! Finally!!

Today was Matt's and mine farewell party, so sad. I found so many new friends here and now I have to leave them, but I hope that I will see lots of them again! We had a great party with a few really cute bunnies with bunny tails :P

Our last day in in Saskatoon, which is now pretty warm!! Tomorrow we are going to Quebec! However, we enjoyed our last day like hell with all our friends and a very nice supper, cheese fondue, hmmmm delicious ...

Today at Noon we left Saskatoon! Bye Bye Saskatoon, Bye Bye friends, Bye Bye canadian Family!!! Soooo sad!!! And everybody was at the airport, so nice!

April 14 to 24, 2004

Today we went to Florida with the bus for 40 hours, so we arrived on Friday morning. The tour in the bus was not that bad but pretty boring. However, now I saw all the east states of the USA, that was very nice and interesting. We started in Trois Riviers to Montreal, than New York City, Washington DC and Pampano Beach, Florida. Sasturday we went to Miami and the Seaquarium and of course shopping. Very confusing if you have to take the bus and you don't now where to go. Howeverm we got lost just once, so not that bad! and we found our way back to the bus and the train back to our hotel. Sunday we went to tha beach for the whole day, bad idea, very bad idea. We spent we whole next day in our room in the bed, because we got a huge and very bad sunburn all over our body! Than we went to Fort lauderdale for one day to the the waterfront, very nice! And on Thursday we went back to the cold Canada with the bus! :( In Florida we hab 30 degrees every day and lots of sunshine, I was not ready to go back! The bustour on the way back was aweful!!! One thing was that we were so sad to go back home so early, the other thing was that we very not very lucky with our busses! We had delays with every bus! When we arrived in New York we were more than one hour late, so we missed our next bus. Thankfully we had just one hour to wait. But when we arrived in Montreal we were again late and again we missed our next bus. However, this time we had to wait for 3.5 hours! After 40 hours in the bus, without a shower and a nice bed! That is very bad for my nervs! But, finally, around noon we arrived at home!!!! And from now on there are just 10 days left and I am going back home, after almost 10 months of canada! That is very exiting!

April 30 to May 1, 2004

Today Matt and I went to Ottawa, the capitol of Canada. We saw the parlament, the war museum and the US ambassy. The hotel was not too bad and we went shopping to a big mall. The next day we went to a technology museum and again shopping, just for me ;). On our way back to Matt's place we stoped at his grandparents for supper. We had a really nice trip!!

These days I had to start packing all my stuff to bring it back to Germany!! We also had to go shopping, but no clothes, we had to buy all my favourite food, like Oreos, Brownies, Skittles ...

That was such a sad day!!! I had to go home! But actually, this day I was very happy to go home, to see my family, but now, I know why Matt was so sad. I just remember this day waking up and Matt told me that it was snowing. I couldn't believe him!! But it was true!! Crazy country!! However, at 11 am we had to be at the airport in Montreal (Thanks to Matts friends for drinving us to the airport!!). I was so nervous to go home ...

9:05 at the airport in Hamburg!! I was still so nervous. But, when I came into the big hall where I usually get my bags, there was a messege for me that my bags did not come to the airport on time. I was just crazy, all my stuff was somewhere ... all my work in going shopping ... But than, later on I got my stuff, all of it... what a crazy trip back home ...
