FIXED AMOUNT OF DMG SPIKES IN MARBLE GALLERY DO: They all now take 1/8th your max hp. FOOD ITEMS NOW RESTORE A SET AMOUNT OF MAXHP THE MOMENT THEY ARE PICKED UP: Now the only healing items you can carry and use at will are potions. FIXED MP HEALING TO NOT RESTORE MP AT ALL NOW: since I can put in tiles at will, that means I can make some areas you NEED to reach to proceed accessable via platforms. CHANGED THE WAY SAVE ROOMS CAN ONLY BE USED ONCE: now instead of not being able to reenter the room.. you can reeneter it but the coffin won't be beating anymore and can't be used to heal. Of course in some areas doing certain things WILL make one or two of them usable again, and some will be UNLIMITED USE STILL!

MID BOSS ENEMIES NO LONGER APPEAR AFTER BEING KILLED ONCE: examples are wargs, malachi or diplocephalus. They may reappear later in the game after certain things are done however. IMPLEMENTED BOSSES BLINKING EFFECT: as their health gets lower... they blink more and more, just like in the old konami arcade games.

AREA 1 HAS BEEN REDONE AND ALL ROOM LOCKS AND ENEMIES IN IT ARE COMPLETE:

Warg: turns faster and attacks much quicker. Zombies: walk and rise out of the ground at different speeds. Skeleton: Bones fall faster now. Bone Scimitar: they don't hold their swords out as long, and now walking into their sword damages you as well. Bloody Zombie: once they go into pain animation once, they chase you till killed. Also fixed the range on their knife attack. Axe Armor: Walks and attacks at about the same speed as in dracula X. Slogra: no longer goes into pain animations, beak attack moves forward when used and is FAST, corner traps no longer work on him, and also.... his spear will now HIT YOU even if he is just holding it. Blood Skeleton: bleeds when hit.

SLOGRA AND GAIBON IN DEATHS ROOM: Slogra now blinks when hit... during this time his spear attack and fireball will still hit... but if he is holding the spear, you can go thru it or him while he is blinking: Basically you have to hit him or gaibon 15 times and then they run away. SLOGRA AND GAIBON IN BOSS ROOM: Slogra starts out gold and invulnerable... then gaibon turns gold and invulerable. Then they BOTH become vulnerable to dmg. The blocks in their room that seal off the doors, now move further out... so you can longer "hide" in those corridors.

AREA 2 HAS BEEN REDONE AND ALL ROOM LOCKS AND ENEMIES IN IT ARE COMPLETE:

Ouija Table: attacks a lot more frequently. Marionette: move faster Plate lord: ball does more dmg when just sittin on ground, and plate lord attacks faster as well. Skelerang: no longer cower, and attack more now. Ghost: act just like their drac x versions and are faster too. Malachi: if you hit him, he WILL come after you. He also attacks quicker. Diplocephalus: has 3 fireball attacks... normal one, one aimed diagonally down at you, one that fires straight forward fast. Can no longer stand on it's back. No longer goes into pain, instead attacks you. Stone rose: no longer goes into pain at all, opens up when it has 1/3 health left. Also repositioned one, and the other is still just like in the demo vid. Armor lord: Sword Smash is slightly faster, shield and multi stab start and end quicker. Axe Knight: same as axe armor... moves and attacks as fast as in Drac X. Doppleganger: UNDER CONTRUCTION! His AI is SOOOOO absolutely STUPID that I also have to change his room setup! Making it so he doesn't go into pain animation just won't seem to work right with him.

UPDATE: 11/22/2006
UPDATE:The memhack c script value locking function is COMPLETE! This means that I can now use C scripting to lock and change any values mid game as I see fit! BYE BYE limiting shitty ass cheat device!!!

So I've begun converting all the cheat codes over to c script. It is making my work go MUCH faster and better. Be sure to go to www.memoryhacking.com and thank L.Spiro... or better yet donate $5 to the guy for all his hard work. And be sure to tell him Esco recommended ya'll, because without his continued assistance, this couldn't be made possible like it has been. :D

Put it this way, in the next few days I intend to release a FULLY playable stage 0 demo (richter's fight with dracula). And believe me when I say dracula is truly interesting to fight now, and much MUCH more challenging (though I did NOT make him extremely hard, due to it bein the beginning of the game). He even has some more new attacks and patterns, so the fight is MUCH more fast paced now, with less waiting goin on. :D

Here's what I need from ya'll: I need SOMEWHERE to upload the small file for memhack so ya'll can test it (the file is less than 100K). If I can't find a place I can just send it over aim/msn/yahoo to any of ya'll who want it.

Here's what you will need to play it:

1) EPSXE 1.6.0: get it from www.ngemu.com
2) Memhack: DOWNLOAD DEMO VERSION 4 BELOW http://www.memoryhacking.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=86&start=15
3) A SOTN AMERICAN ISO or the actual game cd (U2U me if you need a location) 4)The bios SCPH1001.. do a search for it on the net.

IMPORTANT NOTE: please be sure that memhack is set to run codes 100 times per second, and that epsxe runs at about 60 frames per second... if you don't some things won't run perfectly synced like they should. Also be warned... both Dracula fights are much harder now.

BEST POSSIBLE STATS TO GET FOR ALUCARD:
MAX HP: 100
MAX MP: 60
MAX HEARTS: 20
MAX CASH: $1000

These are based on hp left, hearts left, time left, and # of items gotten in the upper rooms.

CHANGES MADE: *recoded all stage 0 data in memhack... no more use for the pec chu cheat device *fixed richters flame whip, adjusted damage amounts for boomerang, holy water, holy cross, hydrostorm, blade dash, rising whip, and slide. *richter can now only do one rising whip until landing again, also rising whip only goes up as high as a normal jump *richter can only blade dash once in midair, untill landing again. *removed flying aerial slide, normal slide has slightly shorter range and less recovery, making it more useful *whiplash now does 1/3 dmg of normal dmg whip strike (adjusts based on whether on fire or desperation as well), rather than normal dmg like before *If richter goes into "desperation mode" his whip does holy type dmg, and hits as hard as the flame whip. *Dracula's fireballs and novaballs move MUCH faster *Dracula 1 has a new blue fireball attack that is slower than his normal fireballs... but can't be destroyed *Dracula teleports in MUCH sooner now, and faster, he also attacks quicker. *dracula 1 mixes it up between 4 patterns when using his novaballs, and uses novaballs repeatedly when near death. *dracula 2 attacks faster now, and turns around MUCH quicker... as he gets closer to death his attacks come out quicker, and also his fireballs come out closer together. *Dracula 2 lands faster now after jumping and doing his energy rain *when doing energy rain, they comes out at a slightly more horizontal distance, giving this attack more range. Also they can't be destroyed. *Dracula 2 has a new DESPERATION attack.... it uses some animations from dracula X. *How richter performs affects alucards starting HP, MP, hearts and cash.

... this release also shows off a LOT of the ideas I have for richter.... such as him having to get relics before he can do MANY of his moves. Here are the relics I have planned for richter thus far:

Cube of zoe, spirit orb, faerie scroll, jewel of opening, Holy symbol, merman statue: same as before. Leap Stone: gives richter a double jump... can be used in combination with rising whip for a triple jump basically. RIb of vlad: whiplash can destroy more projectile attacks now Heart/Ring/Fang of vald: unknown Eye of Vlad: sees thru illusions (gets richter thru rooms that loop) Item Crashes: Axe, dagger, hydrostorm, etc. Must get a relic first to use. Blade Dash 1: gives blade dash, can only do one time if used in air. Also goes thru grates. Blade Dash 2: can blade dash further, and repeatedly in air. Rising whip 1: about the height of a normal jump, can only be done once in air. Rising Whip 2: goes up MUCH higher now! Rising Whip 3: can use rising whip UNLIMITED times in air Air slide: the flying slide attack.

Switch Weapons System: YUP! A HUUUUUUUGE IDEA for richter! You can switch between having just your whip, and the sub weapon in hand at a touch of a button (so you can use the whip power up if you want, or item crash). I may even set it so after a certain point in the game Richter can switch between no whip, sub weapon 1 or a 2nd sub weapon, then back to no whip.
