ANGER
Jima sighed and fell down in one of the chairs they had just bought. She didn't even notice Vegeta's words anymore as he yelled at her. Once again Jima had not proven to be a good Saiyan "wife" and Vegeta always had some kind of urge to tell her that. She could hear Sako and Korban whisper at the top of the stairs and realized that it must be hard for them too, hearing their parents yell all the time. She often wondered why she didn't just leave him. Jima was a woman who needed a lot of affection and if Vegeta had any he sure didn't show it to her. But the reason why she didn't leave him was very simple. She just loved him too much. But he was getting very close to pushing her over the edge. Vegeta took everything for granted and she was sure he wouldn't even notice it if she were gone. "Furthermore, I do not remember you ever being a good wife and….". Jima's temper rose and exploded. She jumped up and pointed her finger at him, mad. "NOT A GOOD WIFE!" She almost screamed, "Who do you think give you something to eat, who takes care of your children, huh!?! Not you, cause your never HERE". She folded her arms and looked at him. Vegeta was stunned at first but then he exploded as well. "I'm training all day and…". "O, so training is more important then your children huh, and your wife.. just listen to yourself". "Don't interrupt me Jima". "Why yes master, your wish is my command" she sarcastically replied, using one of her favorites. "You're impossible." He shouted. "O really, well why don't I just leave then". "Yeah, why don't you, I don't need you anyway." Jima stumbled backwards as if someone slapped her in her face. "You don't need me?" she whispered. She hid her face in her hands and could feel tears coming up. "Jima.." Vegeta said somewhat calmed down. Vegeta laid a hand on her arm but Jima pulled back and hit him in his face. Vegeta jumped up. "Well, I guess I'll leave then" and she stormed past him, slamming the door, leaving Vegeta confused and with a red mark of a hand on his face.
A few minutes later Vegeta was still standing in the middle of the room, with no clue what to do. Only his pride had stopped him from rushing after Jima and stopping her from leaving. He winced when he thought about the look of Jima's face before she left. "Well Vegeta" he muttered to himself "you really made a mess this time". His hand touched the place were Jima had hit him and he winced again. That was going to be one hell of a bruise in the morning. Because he still didn't know what to do he climbed up the stairs to go the bedroom. It was only now that noticed his children at the top of the stairs. Korban held Sako in his arm. She was shaking and tears fell on the ground. Korban's face was white and he was almost crying himself. "What are you doing here?" he said mad. Sako freed herself from Korban's embrace and trod on his toe's. "I want mummy back" she screamed and rushed off in to her bedroom before Vegeta could say a word. Korban ran after her giving Vegeta a mad glance. Vegeta shrugged, with no idea how to handle it and went off to bed. And when he was in bed he realized how cold and lonely it was without Jima.
Jima couldn't see well because she was blinded with tears. She was flying through the cold and rainy night. She was on her way to Kappa because she needed some comfort. She planned to go to Goku but he would just rush off to Vegeta and pound some sense into him. Kappa was very impulsive too but at least Piccolo had some sense, maybe he had a solution. Kappa and Piccolo lived and trained in the stony area, were they would all come together and train for a big fight. Of course Kappa had already sensed her coming and was waiting for her. Jima landed and rushed to her friend. Kappa embraced her and Jima burst out crying hysterically. "Jima what's wrong" Kappa said shocked, embracing her tighter. Piccolo had come out to see what was going on and Kappa shrugged. "Better get her inside Kappa" Piccolo said "She looks awfully cold." Kappa nodded and guided Jima, who was still crying, inside. After a while the tears dried up and Jima calmed down. "Now would you mind telling me what is going on?" So Jima told her the whole story about the fight and how she left. When she was done she burst out in tears again. "What do I do now?" she whispered. "O Jima, I don't know" Kappa said. Jima was in tears again so she didn't notice that Piccolo left. Kappa tried to calm her down but every time she calmed down she thought about Vegeta and started crying again. "And what about Sako and Korban?" she wondered. "How are they feeling?". When Piccolo returned he brought Goku with him. Goku saw his sister and immediately understood why Piccolo brought him. He lifted her of Kappa's lap, thanking her for her care and took Jima to his house.
The next morning ChiChi was walking up the stairs to bring Jima some breakfast. Goku had told her the whole story and she felt sorry for her. But Jima wasn't in the room they gave to her and ChiChi rushed back down stairs. "Goku" she said "Jima isn't in her room". "What!?" Goku said and jumped up "Where is she?". "I don't know. Maybe she went back to Vegeta." Goku's face turned grim "I guess I have to find that out" he said and flew off.
At their house Vegeta was drinking some coffee. He had just sent his children to school and he had no idea that it was such hard work. But most of all he noticed that Jima was right and he really couldn't live without her. The last night was a nightmare and he had missed her more then he could describe. That's why his heart skipped a beat when her heard knocking on the door. He opened it hoping to see Jima but if was Goku who was standing behind it. "Is Jima here" he asked and by his grim tone of voice, Vegeta realized that he already knew. "No…". Goku grabbed Vegeta's T-shirt and smashed him into a wall. "If anything has happened to her Vegeta, I swear…". Vegeta pushed him away and gasped for breath. "What…are..you..talking about Kakarot? Why wouldn't she be alright". "She stayed at my place tonight but this morning she was gone..". "Gone, what do you mean gone". "G-O-N-E, as in missing". "You don't suppose that she…?". "What killed herself? I don't know Vegeta. You've hurt her into the very core of her soul. But I don't think so" Goku said. "I'm gonna go look for her". "I'll come with you". "I don't think so Vegeta. SHE doesn't need YOU right now" Goku said angry and flew off again. "Well Kakarot" Vegeta muttered "If you think I'm just gonna sit here while my love is missing you…" Vegeta stopped. I was the first time he called her that in his thought instead of "that woman". "I don't think that I tell her enough that I love her" he thought. He jumped up mad at himself. "Dammit Vegeta you're getting too sentimental" and he flew off as well.
Jima landed. She knew it wasn't nice of her to leave like that but she really needed sometime alone. She looked around. This was the place where she and Vegeta used to come a lot. But after a while they just stopped, just like everything else in their marriage. "I shouldn't be mad at him for all he didn't to me" she told herself angry while walking up to the waterfall "But then why am I worried about him. I wonder if everything is going well now.." She sighed "Stop that" she told herself "He didn't need you so he must be doing just fine" He doesn't need me. Those four words kept coming back in her nightmares last night. And what about Sako and Korban. How were they feeling? She wanted to fly home this morning but she didn't have the guts to face Vegeta. He'd probably just yell at her anyway.
Vegeta had flown around for hours with no trace of Jima anywhere and he was worried sick. Suddenly he saw Goku flying and he flew to him. "Kakorot" he asked "Have you found her yet". Goku froze in mid-air "Now why would I tell you that, it's not like you need her" he said and flew on. But Vegeta grabbed his arm. "I was wrong I do need her" he said, suprised at himself. Goku was going argue with him again but something in his eye made him stop. "No I haven't found her yet. She is hiding her power level so I can't tell. But Dr Briefs didn't detect anything strange so she's probably just out to think things over or something but still I'm……Hey Vegeta where are you going?". Vegeta had flown of before Goku was finished "How could I have been so stupid. Of course she's gone there"
Jima was lying in the grass thinking when she suddenly felt his power level. She didn't have the courage to face him yet so she ran of and hid in the cave behind the waterfall. She could hear him landing and could feel him move. She knew him so well she knew which move he'd make next. Tears ran down her cheeks again. "Stop this Jima. Stop hiding from me" Vegeta yelled. "You've been hiding from me ever since we got married" her voice sounded in his head. "Jima" he said but she didn't talk anymore "Real smart Jima" she told herself "Now he knows you're here for sure" "Jima, where are you" Vegeta said. As Jima thought he wasn't gonna leave now that he knew she was here. "Jima, please" the tone of his voice suprised Jima. He almost sounded hopeless. "Please Jima. Come out. I was wrong. I do need you!". Jima felt her temper rise again. "You big liar" her voice echoed in his head. "I'm not lying". "You expect me to believe you after what you said yesterday". "Now listen here Jima…" Vegeta began. "NO YOU LISTEN VEGETA" Jima's voice yelled at him. "Yesterday wasn't the first time I considered leaving you. In these years we have been married not even once you made it clear you loved me. All you do is yell at me for being weak and not a good wife. I didn't leave you before because I just loved you too much but after yesterday…. I'm sorry if I'm not perfect but if you meant what you just said you have to change Vegeta, big time". Both of them feel silent. Jima because she had said what she wanted to say and Vegeta because he was stunned. He knew she was right. He knew he'd never given her as much love as she needed. "But this is who I am" Vegeta said. "How can I change?". "Well, for starters you could tell me that you love me" Jima answered. A long silence followed. "Why Vegeta. Why is that so hard for you? You do love me don't you". "Yes…". "Then why can't you say so". "Because…I don't know Jima". He could feel Jima sighing. "This is hopeless" she sobbed and began to remove herself from his mind. "NO" Vegeta yelled "No Jima. I love you. I LOVE YOU". A silence so deep followed that Vegeta began to feel desperate.
His back was turned to the cave so he never saw Jima coming. Only at the last moment did he turn around right in time to catch Jima in his arms. The emotions overpowered him and he sank down to the ground holding Jima. "Woman, if you ever do that do me again". Jima's laughter filled the sky and she kissed him on his lips passionately. They sat there for a while silent. Jima ran her hand over the bruise she had given him. "I'm sorry about that Vegeta". "It doesn't matter" Vegeta replied, grabbing her hand and kissing her fingers. "See" she smiled "That wasn't so hard was it??". She rested her head on his shoulder. "How are Sako and Korban?". "Well, one way or another I got them to school" Vegeta said "That's right! We have to pick them up" He started getting up. "Oh no you don't" Jima said and pulled him back. "You're not going anywhere. Sako and Korban can walk home themselves"
It was late in the evening when Jima and Vegeta returned to their house. Sako and Korban were overjoyed to see their mother again and Vegeta smiled as they threw themselves in her arms. Vegeta even had to pick Sako up so that she could give him a kiss. "I'm sorry" she apologized. Later in the evening a surprised Goku and Kappa came by only to find Sako and Korban home alone. "Mom and dad said they needed some time alone" Korban grinned. Kappa grinned back and Goku felt his face getting red. Kappa slapped him on the shoulder. "You heard the punk, let's go Goku". Goku grinned because he felt like an idiot and they flew off.
THE END.
