Comments: When Carlotta and Dick moved to Gothem City, Carlotta assumed it would only be for a short while, as she and her father always moved around a lot. In every city they moved to she went out each night and fought crime there. But she was often injured as she wasn't wearing a suit like Batman's and eventually fainted when her injuries didn't heal properly. Dick Grayson decided to stay at Gothan City and Carlotta joined Terry McGinnis in his fight against crime. It was Bruce Wayne that gave her the alias 'DarkShadow'. Her mother, Alice, died of cancer when she was a baby, Alice had been given a choice between treatment, which would harm her child, or the possibility of survival if she had treatment after the child was born, but the cancer spread faster than the doctors had thought, and rather than let her child be hurt, Alice decided to die.

Carlotta has black wavy hair, green eyes and speaks with a mixture of accents that she picked up from moving from country to country with her father, she can also speak several languages fluently. While she's like Terry in the fact that she'll jump into trouble head first without thinking, she also has a calming influence on him as he'd rather stop to think than let her get hurt. She has a quick, violent temper which has often caused her to lose control and beat a criminal into a bloody pulp. Her main reason for joining the fight against crime was originally to make her father proud of her as she felt she would never earn his full respect. But later her father was murdered by assassins and so she had another reason. She also once revealed the very first reason to Richard, after he took on the role of Batman for a night.

After she and Terry both finished University they set up their own small business, Terry designing buildings and computer software, Carlotta fixing computers and helping Terry. They live in Wayne manor and the money Bruce Wayne left would be enough for them to live on, but they're happy working for their own. Carlotta plans for the future are to have more children ^-^.
